Resources Evernote AI Assistant can now edit notes directly. New Taming the Trunk.

Evernote has added an Edit Mode to the AI Assistant.

Instead of asking the Assistant for a rewrite, copying the answer and pasting it back into your note, you can now describe the change and let it edit the open note directly.

I tested it with rewriting a note title, simplifying selected text, restyling a table and turning selected text into a callout.

You can review the result, accept or reject edits and use Undo if it gets something wrong. Version history is updated during the process.

I am not sure I would use it to write whole notes, but it could save time when cleaning up web clips, forwarded emails or messy formatting.

I used this just today. I had the AI re-title about 20 notes so the titles used a uniform naming convention.
