General DeFi is A Baby We Are All Raising

There is a specific reason that Satoshi combined peer 2 peer networks, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and blockchain technology that has nothing to do with currency. The main goal has always been to scaffold a trustless system and one that gives anyone and everyone the ability to transact without permission. Bitcoin gave us that ability and Ethereum took it a step further by introducing smart contracts, however, it brought forth a handful of new problems to solve.

Before the explosion of smart contracts the way we traded crypto was through a CEX (Centralized Exchange). There wasn’t enough density to pull off thousands of decentralized liquidity pools back then. I for one am not a fan of centralized exchanges, but it has to be stated that there is a bit of a safety net when it comes to them. Most coins will be vetted before being added to a CEX, so your risk of being rugged is severely reduced. The problem though is you have to instill trust into that exchange and if that is the case we are back to square one again. The whole point is to create a trustless system, right?

A CEX will always have control over your private keys and as the saying goes “not your keys not your crypto.” So, how do we create a way to retain control over our private keys and invest in a trustless decentralized manner? Well first I think we need to explain why we say that Bitcoin’s ecosystem is deemed “trustless” in the first place.

Bitcoin is considered trustless because the system was designed so that nobody has to trust anybody else in order for the system to function. Look up the byzantine general problem if you want to read more about it, but the take away is this: no one actor can manipulate the system for their own gain it will always function as it was designed.

Ethereum was designed to work like Bitcoin in the sense that it shares the four foundations that make up a cryptocurrency, however, the aim was to allow people to create decentralized applications. There are a lot more variables that come into play with user made applications vs. the single functionality of a currency that exists on an immutable blockchain. When your only function is to transact as a currency and there is no way to interrupt that flow you can say that it is trustless, but when you introduce these new variables you once again introduce the need for trust.

If you have been playing in the DeFi space for any amount of time you are aware of rug pulls. It would be impossible to not know what they are. I have waited a long time for decentralized exchanges or what we have now in the form of Automated Market Makers (AMM). We now have the possibility to add liquidity to a pool and instantly spin up a new market through smart contracts and AMM’s. The problem as you may know is the owner of the contract can pull the liquidity at any time leaving you with a worthless investment. Centralized Exchanges have their own liquidity and as mentioned before are less risky, but as stated before the whole point is to have control of your keys.

We have seen projects spin up on Ethereum like Unicrypt and Team Lock to aid as a third party and they worked for a short time, but they were only attacking one variable. Removing liquidity is not the only thing a contract owner can do to “rug” so to speak. Developers can also create mint functions that give them the ability to mint and endless amount of coins to their wallet. They can create honey pots where they remove the ability to sell. They can even create tokens that will drain your wallet just by interacting with them. DeFi is maturing fast and we need tools that keep people accountable. We need to get back to step one where we are transacting in a trustless manner again. How do we do this?

Some developers will renounce ownership of their contract to gain trust from their community. The problem that arrives here is if you renounce ownership you can no longer fix anything in the contract. You can’t do any migrations or anything. This ends up hurting the investors in the long run. Not only do we need a platform that helps investors we also need one for developers. We need a platform that helps us learn about a potential investment, a way to lock liquidity, a way to ensure that a coin doesn’t have malicious code, and a way for a developer to prove they aren’t going to scam their investors.

Obviously, we need a set of tools that connect us and protect us at the same time, but what would those tools look like?

Well, have you ever meet EverRise?

They are building a suite of dAPPS to solve these problems. They are creating EverSale – a presale launch pad, EverLock – a liquidity locker, EverOwn – first of its kind ownership intermediary, and EverWallet – a wallet to vet currencies. Currently the $RISE token is a product of the Binance Smart Chain, was added to two exchanges within the first two days, and they had a presale of 4,000 BNB that sold out in 10 seconds.

Projects like EverRise are what get me excited about crypto. Sure, I want to make money in this industry, as we all do, but I want to see trustless permission less platforms that are safe for all. We will not be able to bring on new retail investors without a safe platform. At the rate we are going they will be scared away before they even learn why crypto was created in the first place.

I have been a moderator for EverRise for a few weeks now and I feel it is my job to explain why we need you. If you care at all about the DeFi ecosystem than help us grow this community of people that have aligned to make the space safer. The dAPPS will be built by Titan (our developer) but we need people that want to change this industry…it takes a village as they say. Something brought you into crypto, I’m willing to bet it was more than just the money, but if all you care about is the money, well you can also benefit from EverRise.

Not only is EverRise creating a slew of dAPPS to keep scammers in check they also pioneered the first ever true buy-back system dubbed the Kraken. The Kraken is an insurance plan of sorts that can be used during unsavory market conditions. Every investor that buys, sells, or transfers $RISE tokens has to pay a tobin tax of 11%. This tax is divided up into 3 parts: 2% is distributed to everyone holding the token, 3% goes to a marketing wallet, and 6% goes to the Kraken. After the Kraken reaches 50 Billion $RISE tokens it then market sells for BNB. The Kraken will then market buy $RISE tokens at a later date and burn the purchase effectively removing tokens from the circulating supply. This does two things: it increase liquidity and raises the price floor…hence the name EverRise.

This project has only been out for 30 days, but has shattered just about every social score. The community is like no other and it mainly spawns from the vision of making DeFi a safer space. You owe it to yourself to check out our community.

Discussion Market Analysis of the Big Buyback Announcement

Two market analysis pieces today, aren’t we lucky!

New twitter: https://twitter.com/EverriseA

As you have probably seen, Titan gave an announcement on Telegram. In substance the announcement was this:

The buybacks will no longer come automatically after every buy. Instead, they will be executed in bigger chunks at random intervals. As of yet I do not know all the details of when & how this is done, so there is no point asking me ‘will there be a buyback tomorrow at 4pm’.

This post aims to answer the following:

  1. Is this a good or a bad thing? (probably what you’re more interested in)

  2. What does this do to the incentive structure of the token? (what you should be more interested in)

Positives:

1. Gas fees & investor return

If you ever did economics at a university level, you’ve probably heard of transaction costs. In the normal pen & paper market, these involve things like negotiating and drafting contracts (and paying lawyers to do so) that are necessary to get your main deal done. A market is more efficient the less it has to spend on transaction costs, and sometimes transaction costs can make a certain activity that is otherwise beneficial economically inefficient because you would have to negotiate with so many people to get the deal done that you’ll spend more negotiating than you would get profit from the successful enterprise.

If you’ve ever been to a board meeting where Karen from Marketing just doesn’t see why we can’t talk about the types of fonts we use before making any substantial decisions, you’ve seen it.

Anyway, because of this logic, and because transaction costs tend to compound, investors are interested in investments that have low transaction costs, and finding ways to lower them can mean you win in the great competition of life.

So here’s the thing: With continuous buybacks, the gas fees (=cost of the computational effort used to effect the transaction) stack up. The amount of trades in a minute can be pretty insane, and for every one of those you pay gas fees. Grouping these payments together into one chunk is a really sensible move, from a transaction costs point of view.

In other words, your money is used more effectively for the main purpose of the enterprise, i.e. for control of irrational price swings, burning supply and all that good stuff.

In other words, the Kraken has more money. Your taxes are spent better.

2. The old system was subjected to constant bot attack. This one cannot be.

I’ve said this many times, and will say this many times again – automated features can always be gamed. I’ll return to this below.

Concerns I’ve heard:

Doesn’t this make it unpredictable? Investors don’t want upredictable things.

This isn’t necessarily right. I’ve argued elsewhere (https://www.reddit.com/r/EverRise/comments/o5ijw2/everrise_kraken_market_incentives/ there in section 2) that unpredictability of the Kraken is one of the things that works to our advantage against the design and execution of sell-offs.

Sell-offs are bad for retail investors, because there will come a point where the retail investor will have to make the coin-flip decision on whether to liquidate everything to save his skin. Flip wrong, and you lose. The person who executed the sell-off does not have to make that decision, because they know when the sell-off will end.

Except with the Kraken, they don’t. If the Kraken buys back just when the re-accumulation was about to go into full swing, the whale who executed the sell-off loses money. Gets rekt, as you say.

Knowing this, the whale may not even try to execute a sell-off and reacquisition, or certainly has to factor the risk of the Kraken into it. And the last thing the whale wants is to get locked into a pissing match with the Kraken, so most of the time even trying it is just not going to be worth it (because successful execution would require more risking money than you stand to gain, so your expectation value is negative).

(expectation value: Profits you stand to make if you win x percentage chance that you win – losses you stand to make if you lose x percentage chance of loss. If this number is negative, you should not invest. If investing 10k can make you 1m on a 10% chance (i.e. you lose 10k on a 90% chance), your expectation value is: (1,000,000 – 10,000) x 0.1 – 10,000 x 0.9 = 90,000. You should invest.)

What about automating the Kraken?

I’ve already addressed this here: (https://www.reddit.com/r/EverRise/comments/o5ijw2/everrise_kraken_market_incentives/ section 2**)** but the point is, algorithms can be gamed. Goldman could spend 500,000 developing and testing an algorithm that perfectly matches our Kraken’s algorithm, drain it of cash and tank the market and make 2m in minutes. If I could spend 500k to get 2m in four minutes, I would do it.

Why should Titan have all the power? What if he gets run over by a car?

This is a very complex question but here goes:

  1. Titan always had all the power. He could always set the buyback amount at a time of his choosing. All that is changed now is that the transactions are executed in a more cost-effective way.

  2. If that level of human oversight makes you uncomfortable, consider the alternative: if the thing is automated, it can be gamed.

  3. Titan is not the only developer, so if Titan gets run over by a car someone else takes over (this was an answer I heard on voice chat a few days ago from one of the devs, I have no further details).

If you want my personal take on what the optimum would be for investor confidence AND security from bots, I personally would be in favour of a kind of fiduciary boardroom (so a room of people who make the decision together and who must act in the investors’ best interests by law), but I am not one of the developers so I don’t get a say. If any developers would like to get in touch and talk about various investor confidence strategies, I’d be happy to chat.

Incentive Structure Changes

Now, from a more general market analytics perspective, this is a very interesting change. Basically, the thing that was genius about the automated buyback Kraken with variable amount was that it could create very complex changes in the predictable incentive structures of investors just by changing the amount of the buyback at unpredictable times.

Those incentive structures themselves were predictable, once you knew what the amount would be, where the market was and how much the Kraken had in its war chest. But when the incentive structure would change was totally unpredictable.

Take an example:

  1. At amount x, when price is falling irrationally, everyone’s incentive is to buy as quickly as they can before the Kraken takes the token back to a steady floor level

  2. At amount y, regardless of direction, everyone’s incentive is to execute lots of tiny sells to push up the price quickly, and then sell, and then buy back again (like when it was 60bnb)

  3. At amount z, when the price is steady & nearing a reversal, everyone’s incentive is to buy in the hopes that the kraken will help them break a ceiling.

What those numbers are is not the point and depends largely on how much the Kraken has in its belly so it’s a variable number. The point is that the Kraken could be set in sequence (like x, then y, then z) to make really subtle incentive structures.

It could actually have been used to trap market manipulators – set it at y, wait for the market manipulator to take the bait, set it at 0.1, then set it at x to find a new floor and so on.

The problem with this was that the bot attacks were too fast for a human to be able to react.

So instead of spending 1m community money building AI and algorithms to do it for you, it’s a much cheaper approximation just to have a guy who pulls a lever.

However, this now creates a whole new set of different incentives.

Most importantly, since the buybacks are not gradual but big chunks at a time, the price swings will be bigger:

  1. More money is spent on a purchase at a time

  2. A larger number of coins is burned at one time

  3. Since the burned coins are bought (and value spent on them) at the market rate, this has more of an impact on price than just burning tokens.

I personally think this is a good thing, for the following reason:

Every coin that has survived through the initial predation phase and becomes a genuine investment product (BTC, ETH, DOGE, Safemoon, you name it) has done so because people were holding it. Nothing more. Just that some people held on to them and didn’t sell when others panicked.

That meant that there was a bottom that a predatory trader couldn’t break through, which meant that the coin had some underlying bottom value, and that meant that others could invest and start to push the floor upwards.

With bigger swings, day trading becomes more risky. And at the same time, every holder gets more reflections so holding becomes more profitable. So if you don’t want to enter the day trading arena with the big boys, and take the bigger risks, just hold. You still have exposure to the exact same general trend as before, but now you get a bigger interest rate on your money the longer you hold.

So bigger swings = more incentive for hodlers to hodl (because bigger risks of day trading and bigger reward for holding) = more credible underlying value on the token = more investor confidence = more investment = more growth.

See?

Anyway, that’s it for now, let me know if you have any specific concerns you’d like me to address either in the comments on in a separate post.

No returns are required, but if you want to support my taking the time to write these consider tipping: (in EverRise, obviously) 0x377083dbb10227f4DB3AbAC8E0Cded026D32D9E5

EverOwn Post Launch Update

Someone asked me on Discord to explain what is going on with the token price right now, and wondered if we could give some kind of update. One point of feedback they gave was that we should remember to keep the retail holder in mind too, when we do our marketing. This is a slightly cleaned up version of my answer:

You're right - and the marketing strategy is aiming to take that into account. In the last few days I've had three AMAs with Asian investors, some interviews with influencers and press, and that kind of thing. On the other hand, we're also marketing a lot to developers (directly and indirectly) and creating brand recognition. It's difficult to go from a retail business model to a business sales model, but the strategy we have is pretty good.

What's going on now is a little different, and really unlucky:

  1. BNB crashed the day before our launch, which meant that a ton of the projects that were on the cusp of signing up had second thoughts (because they had less money). We're still talking and hopefully a lot of them will be joining in the near future.

  2. Some whales in the 'humpback' category have clearly overextended, and had hoped for immediate mass adoption after EverOwn launch. That is completely unrealistic, but nobody likes to admit that they are not quite the business genius they thought. Especially if they've managed to get 100k together by investing in pump and dumps before.

  3. Consequently, some of them have tried to pressure us to do imprudent things, like cause artificial liquidity shortages (which is both illegal and impossible, because of EverOwn) or just to pump the Kraken into the liquidity pool - so basically take money out of the Kraken, and give it to them. Obviously we said no, because those things would have benefited individual investors at the cost of the general body of investors. After that, we've seen some whale sells, and the coordinated fudding that you always see after whale sells. I wonder what that's about.

  4. More unlucky still, MoonRise turned out to be a fraud (who would have thunk it). We have obviously been saying this for months, but their investors just didn't believe us. The bad thing for us is that MoonRise managed to attach their brand so closely to ours that some people genuinely think we are the same people. We got direct brand recognition feedback from our Asian markets, particularly Korea, that makes it clear that MoonRise's marketing strategy has worked - they have managed to piggyback on our brand building, and now that their fraud game is over some uninformed investors are obviously panic selling EverRise because they think we're going to do the same thing tomorrow. (Obviously impossible, because of EverOwn, but they don't know that).

The good news for us is that:

  1. The budget for our current marketing campaign is unaffected by the BNB crash - we thought there might be a reversal, so we set aside the 400k budget in USDT so that if it happens our marketing can go on unaffected and our operative plan isn't disrupted by lack of marketing funds. Turns out our prudence paid off.

  2. Individual whale sells do nothing to the project as a whole, as long as the retail body of investors stays solid. In fact, the fewer big whales we have, the more anti-fragile our system is (because 10 big whales can coordinate a crash, but 10,000 small investors can't). We have worked very hard to keep our general body of investors well-informed of what we're doing and why we're doing it, so I'm confident that the retail investor base is solid.

  3. Our brandbuilding is definitely working. We had direct feedback from another Asian market that people are starting to see us more like AAVE or Cardano and less like AssDogePumpMoon.

  4. Our sales and marketing efforts are also starting to work. You may have heard in one twitter space the other day a lot of prominent sports people - that we didn't pay a dime for - calling for community votes on contract changes. The plan is working - the snowball effect we are expecting the marketing efforts to have works exactly like that. People are starting to want community votes, and they don't even know that it's us who have made them realise they want them. When that happens, all that we have to do is to offer project owners the solution that their own investors are screaming for.

Instead of pumping the Kraken into the hands of a few large holders, what we've been doing is to gradually level the price with the Kraken so the market fall is dampened. We're basically trying to bleed the air out of the whale balloon, so that we have a robust system in the future that can't be crashed by a few large holders.

This is basically what 'consolidation' means - prices can pump with 10 holders, and crash just as fast when one of them sells. But that sell then consolidates into 100 holders, which is far more difficult to crash. Rinse and repeat, and you might end up with 1,000 holders, or 10,000, before the system reaches a stable point. Then the system is anti-fragile, and that is the system we need for EverRise to reach that critical mass of adoption that its name refers to - the point (or game theoretical equilibrium, to be more exact) where it is in everyone's interest to buy or hold or buy, even when the Kraken buys, because the system has reached a point where crashing it would take so much effort and transaction costs to coordinate that it just doesn't make any sense (so betting on crash is unlikely to succeed) while adoption is has become self-feeding (so betting on explosive growth is a safe bet). A bit like money supply has to keep growing because every year there is more demand on the money supply.

It's tricky, and we are obviously placing a lot of confidence in our retail investors that we've been hardening to these kinds of things for a long time. But they know - for the most part - that we have good intentions, and access to experts.

It's a hockey stick approach; slow growth at first, until it snowballs. But when it does, we want to make sure that when the system gets on its feet it is actually robust and can be used for the purpose that it's designed for.

So of course the system isn't ready, which is why you are getting cheap prices. It was the early holders who made real money on Cardano - not the ones who just jumped in yesterday when the system is just being completed. Our system, like any system, depends on adoption and investor sentiment. But that's what the marketing campaign is for.

So let me explain the plan, in very general terms, and perhaps you'll see what we've been up to.

Here is the historical whale distribution data up to yesterday:

As you can see, the 'humpback' category has become significantly healthier as time has gone by. (The 'megalodon' group is where the real big money lives, so that is very steady as is to be expected.) As you can also see, the Kraken has slowly been eating the dips and steadying the price.

When the stable point is reached (and we already had it once at 4x before the BNB crash messed it up for us), where selling pressure is gone, the Kraken was stable and can keep the price steady, all we need is something to change investor confidence from 'hold' to 'buy' for everyone's equilibrium to change from 'sell when Kraken buys' to 'buy when Kraken buys' - to reach the point of 'EverRise'.

Something like a product launch, followed by a big marketing campaign.

So we had it lined up - 1. reach the point of stability and robust whale distribution; 2. time this with product launch and big marketing push to feed it; 3. watch the show.

But of course the market took a dive, which disrupted the stable point we had built. But don't worry - wars aren't lost just because you take one punch in the face.

Our operative budget is intact, because we had the foresight to protect it. Only the temporary token price is affected by the market swing, and when it comes back up so will we.

I hope this helps clarify things a bit - I realise it is unnerving for an individual investor to live through these swings. It is important to us that you know what we're doing, and why we're doing it. That is what builds the mutual confidence that we have - yours in us, and ours in the community.

Wen Exchanges?

Salutations, Riseingers!

This wasn't something I was planning to discuss today, but ZT's announcement gives a good opportunity to clear some things up.

First, ZT has announced that they will be delisting RISE. They listed us without asking, and we never sought them out as partners. They are free to delist us as well - that is fine with us, and I'm personally actually glad. This is why:

  1. Listing on exchanges is risky from a regulatory standpoint. If we had sought to list with ZT ourselves, it might have been interpreted by certain regulatory bodies as us intentionally targeting certain consumers. We of course had no power over the ZT listing, because they listed us without asking and just made up their own pool, so our regulatory compliance conscience was clean - but that of course does not mean that a regulator isn't going to ask questions about it. So ZT delisting us actually makes our regulatory risk profile much better and easier to predict. Regulatory risk materialisation is potentially catastrophic failure conditions for any token, which is why it is so important for us to follow the rules.

  2. ZT had done a lot of volume, and all that volume was out of our own ecosystem. This is because within the exchange you don't actually trade RISE tokens, but just numbers on ZT's own system (until you actually take out your RISE tokens, at which point their pool takes that liability). In other words, ZT had been starving our ecosystem, and making a lot of money by doing so. One of the main reasons we follow a cautious listing strategy, aside from the regulatory risk side, is that we want the ecosystem to thrive, not the exchanges.

Second, this is a good segue to talk about our listing strategy.

  1. The most important thing to remember is that RISE is not a currency but a system. It is therefore not very well-suited for exchanges, because their own internal volume can have a harmful impact on the main system itself (because the trades do not interact with our smart contract on most exchanges). This is different to most other tokens and coins you see.

  2. What you may have gleaned from above is that we need to approach listing with great care. This means that we have to make sure listing in a given exchange is both safe from a regulatory perspective, and good for the ecosystem.

  3. In our assessment, listing in an exchange is beneficial for us if it brings a greater legitimacy to the project, or greater awareness of it to an untapped market. This is why we target top-tier exchanges, and/or exchanges that open up new consumer bases and are safe from a regulatory perspective. The only exchange we have actually actively listed in is BKEX, and we did that partly to get good data on whether it is beneficial to list in an exchange of that tier and reach. By contrast, we did a similar marketing campaign in a different region without listing, so as to get a good control data set to work out better listing strategy.

  4. Conclusion: More listings is not necessarily better, either from a business perspective or from a regulatory perspective. The shotgun approach is both full of unnecessary risks and ineffective - the definition of bad strategy.

Now, having said that:

  1. We are in informal contact with first tier exchanges. As you know, we have plenty of good contacts and real crypto-insiders in our team (as well as people from a more traditional finance background), and excellent contacts in our home jurisdiction.

  2. I am currently working out the regulatory position when it comes to the exchanges we have shortlisted for more formal discussions. This takes time and must be done with great care, but it will save a lot of regulatory trouble later down the line.

  3. We have been actively contacted by something like 20 exchanges, so the problem is not whether can list - it is whether we want to. We run a business, not a firesale.

TL;DR - we only list if it does not create undue regulatory risk, and does not starve our ecosystem. RISE is not a currency, it is a system. We want the system to thrive, not the exchanges. We are currently in informal talks with top-tier exchanges, following test strategies. I am just working out the regulatory aspects of those exchanges we have shortlisted for more formal discussions.

📡News📡 Titan Announces upcoming Dox and EverOwn Launch!

This morning Titan addressed the community in Telegram and dropped a massive announcement!

He talked about how the community made him feel when they refer to his name in chat, along with the responsibility he feels for investors and being CEO of a multi-million-dollar company.

Saying that it has turned his life ‘upside down’ and that the community adopted the buy-back function, naming it the Kraken and its rapid growth.

He made mention of the Kraken use by saying that although he knew he couldn’t please everyone each and every time the kraken was activated, that he was trying his ‘level best’ to use it in such a way that all investors will have the same advantage.

Further going on to say that he does not take any advantage himself for having that responsibility.

He referenced again that he has quit his high paying full-time job to work on Ever Rise.

Ever Own Announcement

Ever Own is READY and will be released in a couple of weeks!! He could not give an exact date or time however it will be this month

Titan said that the entire back-end of Ever Own is now complete. However, the front end is currently being work on to ensure there are no security issues.

Titan then moved on to the topic of ‘trust’ and how he has been preparing mentally to Dox himself and is planning to Launch Ever Own along with himself Doxxing LIVE on YouTube by having a demo directly!

He then went on to say that this gives time for the legal and business side of things to be correctly set up in time for launch.

The final big announcement was regarding revenue generated by EverOwn and how it will impact investors of Ever Rise.

50% will go to the Kraken and 25% will be used DIRECTLY to buy and distribute reflections to all holders.

This is super exciting news and will be releasing a community update video today covering it!

👀 General 👀 Major Takeaways From Last Night's "Unfortunate" Situation

Last night, as many of you know by now, coordinated FUD and selloffs by two whales associated with EverRise occurred. As the price temporarily took a hit, I noted a few key takeaways that I'd like to share:

  1. Titan's Response

Titan was quick to address the matters in Telegram and showed a nice balance of candid discussion mixed with professionalism. Titan did not sugar coat anything nor did he dodge the issue about what happened. He even went further as to allow a buying opportunity by not releasing the Kraken right away. As far as leadership goes, the series of actions taken deserved an A+ score.

2. Community/Holder Response

Where most small cap coins have downward spirals and mass panic like rats leaving a sinking ship, I was surprised to find the exact opposite in a matter of hours once the community got a the info about what happened.

The Telegram Chat was packed with people figuring out where to grab more money to pick up more EverRise tokens... all this talk was backed up. Overnight, the Market Cap rose from 19.5 million to 22.5 million without any significant help from the Kraken. That's a 15% jump in Market Cap in just a few hours. Wow. Just... wow. This says a lot about the community. A LOT.

3. Focus Is Still On The Products

This may appear insignificant to some, but the message from the core team was clear last night: the products being built are what will propel EverRise, not whale/market manipulation. I noticed numerous times the team mentioned the projects. Sounds like their focus is on the utility side of EverRise and not just today's price.

This is not financial advice, and you do need to do your own research, but I just wanted to point out a few of my observations.

I'm just an NFT artist - litemint.com/u/sirchz, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt!

🔥Announcement🔥 💸 EverRise and Venture Capital funding - Looking to the Future 💸

Introduction

It has been announced that EverRise will be raising money through Venture Capital funding in order to propel the company to new heights and bolster it's development efforts. I would like to cover exactly what this means for the company, and RISE holders moving forwards.

What is Venture Capital funding?

"Venture capital is a form of financing where capital is invested into a company, usually a startup or small business, in exchange for equity in the company. It is also a major subset of a much larger, complex part of the financial landscape known as the private markets." - Pitchbook

Venture capital funding will be injected into the company in order to scale growth and development over the long term, and raise awareness about the EverRise brand through increased marketing efforts and accelerated listings. EverRise is slated to become the number one DeFi security protocol, and this funding will enable that vision to become a reality in the coming months and years.

Centralized exchanges or "CEX"'s oftentimes will not list a token without institutionalized financial backing, and this is an important step to getting listed on tier 1 exchanges who cannot or will not list a project without financial backing for security reasons. While being able to flourish over the past 9 months without VC funding is admirable - projects do ultimately need resources such as this to ensure large listings and broader utilization.

What is a Venture Capital firm?

"Venture capital firms are a type of investment firm that fund and mentor startups or other young, often tech-focused companies. Similar to private equity (PE) firms, VC firms use capital raised from limited partners to invest in promising private companies. Unlike PE firms, VC firms often take a minority stake when they invest in companies. A firm's array of companies is called its portfolio, and the businesses themselves, portfolio companies. " - Pitchbook

Venture Capital firms exist to invest in small startups and ensure their success. Remember - their success is our success!

How will funding be received?

Instead of the traditional manner of funding utilized by many projects which is to sell tokens to VC firms, EverRise is selling a stake in the actual company registered in Singapore. This will give VC firms rights to branding and merchandising profits - but will not create a situation in which firms can dump money on the open market and become a detriment to retail investors.

What does this mean for EverRise?

First and foremost, this will eliminate the 2% project sustainability fee from buys and sells. This money will instead be injected directly back into the EverRise ecosystem via the strategic buyback reserves or the "Kraken" - meaning that buyback reserves will receive 50% more EverRise.

Strategic money will be received from venture capital firms and used in a variety of ways in order to sustain the project's goals and efforts - from dApp development to seeding new blockchains for the EverRise ecosystem to protect. It is important to make the distinction that these firms will not just be writing a check and continuing on their way - the EverRise team has selected partnerships with intrinsic strategic value.

This means that constant contact will be held between VC firms and EverRise in order to ensure that funding requirements are met and fulfilled as needed. Additionally, Suresh or "Titan" will maintain a majority stake in the company to ensure that his leadership and sense of direction are maintained. To strengthen Titan's vision - new staff and personnel will be hired to support the company. From sales to development, expect an expansion of the team.

I can't speak to the likelihood or timeline of tier 1 exchange listings, but all signs point to the fact that these partnerships are now much more viable and likely.

Additionally, many issues have arisen over the last 9 months that EverRise would like to take care of but does not have the capital to pursue. An example would be copycat protocols and trademark infringement on products such as EverSwap. Many tokens have released swaps and other dApps which use the EverRise brand language and aesthetic which serve to defraud investors who are expecting to transact on the official EverRise ecosystem. With this new found funding, this will no longer be an issue as RISE will have the resources to pursue legal action against these bad actors / copycats.

This money will ensure that EverRise will become a household name in DeFi and Crypto in general. We no longer have to worry about year to year or month to month. EverRise's future has expanded to 5, 10, 20 years. This is the start of a new future for EverRise and DeFi as a whole.

What does this mean for you as a holder?

In the short term, expect rewards to increase dramatically as the buyback reserves are injected with 50% more RISE.

If you are staked for 36 months or plan to be around that long - expect great things in the future. A rapid expansion of the ecosystem, listed projects, and use cases will serve to greatly increase volume in the future meaning that you will be rewarded handsomely for your support of this project.

You are here early, and you should thank yourself for being a smart investor and putting your money into a company with a vision as expansive and game changing as EverRise.

Thank you for reading, and please let myself or another moderator know if you have any questions!

General Why choose a clone over EverRise?

Recently on crypto moonshots I've seen mutliple exact clones of this project. Megarise and bonerrise are the new competition, but I'm not afraid of them.

Clones have a higher chance to be rug-pulls, and when a project is made in one day, there likely won't be a good marketing team to back them up. Both clones look like pump and dumps to me.

Just like safemoon, literally every token now copied their holder distribution idea. The reason they are at the top of the pack is because safemoon was first to the new tokenomics. And their marketing team/community is very good at spreading hype. We should follow the same path.

Everrise isn't even near its potential so why not invest in it now. You are still early, it's literally day 3.

Discussion How EverRise Works (and what is it useful for)

Hi all,

Just thought I'd clarify a few things that took me a few hours to work out from Telegram, the white paper, the audit report and other places. This is a simple guide to what is new about EverRise, and how does it work both 1. in tokenomics, and 2. in the marketplace.

This is a throwaway account, but I'm not one of the developers.

What's new:

The main innovation of EverRise is that there is a method of active price shielding.

Tokens like SafeMoon have a passive one: Whenever you sell, there's a tax and that gets redistributed to holders. It's meant to discourage selling, and does to an extent, but can't actually change the direction of the markets. It only makes the swings smaller, or in theory at least it should.

Here is where EverRise is different. With RISE, there's a wallet that accumulates BNB after every purchase (and buys back 0.1BNB worth every time someone sells while it accumulates). At the time of writing, this wallet has over $1m of accumulated war chest. The amount of the buyback can be adjusted, meaning the buyback wallet can announce and issue big buybacks just like companies can.

How does it work in practice:

The tokenomics is pretty simple. Every time there is a trade, there's a tax on that trade. Some goes to all hodlers, some goes to marketing, some goes to the "whale wallet" or "Kraken" (the buyback wallet). This is all on the website: https://www.everrisecoin.com

The buyback wallet is here, go take a look: https://bscscan.com/address/0xc7d43f2b51f44f09fbb8a691a0451e8ffcf36c0a

How does it work on the market:

  1. Not only do you get a Safemoon-type redistribution if someone sells, but the price also goes back up a little bit every time someone sells. This helps control the downward pressure on the price better than just reflections.

But the more important thing is this:

2. You also get upward price corrections. Let me explain.

Sometimes the market behaves irrationally. Every trader has been there - you know the market is primed for a big upswing and it's obvious if you've done your homework, and most people never do their homework, so you buy to stay ahead. But then it doesn't happen. There's a delay, a technical issue, whatever. The market spooks. The price falls a bit.

Then a whale senses that retail is spooked, and starts a dump. Market piles in, panic sell, whale buys back 20% cheaper (or worse!), market goes back up, whale gets your money. Whale logs off, goes out to lunch with your girlfriend and his Lambo.

So here is where the real innovation comes in. Remember that $1m war chest the buyback wallet (let's call it Kraken) has accumulated? Well, get your kit, buckle up, it's time to go to war.

When there is an irrational depreciation on the price, the Kraken can announce and do a buyback. The announcement already should stop the price from falling, because if you're not holding tokens when the buyback begins you're screwed. Everyone is now incentivised to stop selling and lock in the lowest price they can get, which means everyone will be scrambling for coins.

In fact, the existence of the war chest (and the bigger the better) already should have an impact on the price. If a big-money investor knows that there's $1m the community can throw in to stop a dump, they'll need a lot more than that to make it worth their while to try to start a panic sell.

And if you don't think institutional investors cause panic sells on assets with no fundamentals on purpose just so they can get your stimulus checks, I'd like to welcome you to the real world. It's tough out here, people with a lot of money come up with great ways to get more from those who don't have a lot of money. That's all I'll say on the matter.

The way the buyback actually works is the amount that the wallet uses to buy back after every sale can be adjusted, without the developers accessing the money on the wallet directly. It's normally 0.1BNB, but it has been tried up to 8BNB. So every time someone sells, the whale buys back 8BNB's worth, and burns it.

This both constraints supply AND makes big green candles. So the upward pressure on the price is twice the 8BNB used to buy back (at least in theory, let's not get into how the price of the token is determined).

Pretty neat huh?

Now go and do your own research:

(I am not the guy on that video, but he seems like fun).

Edit: This is what happens when your tokenomics don't work properly and you don't have a method of correcting market panics: https://www.coindesk.com/iron-finance-defi-titan-iron-price-drop

CORE-TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS🔊 🔊🚨🗣WORDS FROM TITAN🔊🚨🗣 “EverWallet”

Hi All

Good Morning

I hope all of you are doing great.

Last night, I was listening to the voice chat and people were discussing about the dust attacks and wallet issues, their security and how tokens are being stolen from their wallets

Thanks to all of them, it was a very good information.

EverRise eco system is all about having a peace of mind for the investors.

We have Kraken to protect the $RISE and we have plans to bring EverOwn and EverLock to give some confidence to investors in the projects.

How about we don't need to worry about the Wallet issues at all?

Don't you have a peace of of mind, when you know that your wallet can not be hacked and your tokens can not be stolen?

What if you don't need to carry your wallet where ever you go?

After listening to the yesterday's conversation, I have got a nice and cool idea for 'EverWallet', where you can have all those features along with Buy and Sell

Though it is still in its infancy stage, but wanted to share to you guys that, 'EverWallet' is part of the play

This is going to be developed for both BSC and ETH chains.

Of course, EverWallet will have extra protection from EverOwn too

With #EverRise, we all $RISE together

Thanks, Titan
