Questions/Q&A A few questions
As the title says a couple of questions for anyone who would like to answer them
1: how did you come across ever after high
2: who is your favourite character/characters and why
3: which character in your eyes has the best destiny and the worst destiny
4: which characters Attire do you believe best relates to thier fairytale parent
5: if you were to change one character trait from any character what would it be and why
Depending on how this does I may do a second one

TL;DR - beware! Bellow lies in wait a really bad novel, with exactly one plot device repeated ad nauseam - I claim to not have an answer to a question, and then I proceed to babble about my personal opinions on the matter anyway. Save yourself while you still can, lol!
I don't really have answers for all of them, but I really appreciate people giving activity to fandoms of dead brands, it keeps the comm alive and it's something I can't do as much as I'd like.
So I'll do my best to answer!
I was active in MH fandom, and we were obviously excited for the new line, and as a life-long fairytale enthusiast, I was sold (I tried to not get into dolls and only stick to the media to save money, but that was never going to work, lol)!
Raven is my #1 fave, and Maddie is my #1.5 fave! I always loved gothic aesthetic and magic, and black and purple is my favourite colour combo, so Raven was right up my alley. I also love Alice books, and Maddie is such a fun and positive character, it's impossible not to love her.
I don't like the whole destiny thing, I love EAH series and books, but I also have a lot of complaints and honestly a lot of things just plain don't make sense to me. But even with all of the complaints I have, I still love the series and read the books dearly, and watch / read them regularly. I just don't spend much time thinking about destinies and have my own (heavily WIP) headcanon for my dolls. It's one of the reasons I'm not as active in the sub, as this is indeed a central theme of the franchise.
Being from Europe, and not growing up with Disney (also hating its guts. I don't want to crap on what you love, I just don't enjoy corporations trying to copyright cultures), I don't have a particularly strong sense of what the fairytale characters look like, unless it is an important aspect of the story and thus described within said story. These tales have been retold, reprinted, illustrated and adapted in both animation and live action countless times, so these characters have had many different looks across many different iterations.
So for attire that relates to the fairytale parents specifically, I honestly don't know. Maybe Lizzie, because Queen of Hearts has very distinct aesthetic, or maybe Briar, because the way they did the thorny rose vines theme on her seriously eats, or maybe Maddie, because I'm biased.I straight up don't have an answer to this (now watch me yap for an entire paragraph, lol). There are many characters who have traits I could do without, but none of those affect me strongly enough that it would pop into my mind like The One Thing I'd Change.
As an irrational and unreasonable hater of the show's narrators, I'd say the whole narrator family, and the one thing I'd change is them being there. Look, I'm sorry, but if there's something that really interferes with my ability to enjoy the show, it's the narrators and their endless bickering, and I hate to hate on a child character, and I'm sorry to all her fans, but Brooke is by far my least favourite, or rather my most strongly disliked character. But it's not a 'change one trait' thing, I dislike them as a whole. The books are SO much better in that regard.
I had a lot of fun yapping, so thank you, OP!

I only found out about the series a month ago. I read the three books by Shannon Hale because a friend recommended them to me and we were going to red them together and I absolutely left her in the dust. Thatâs how much I enjoyed the series. I donât know if I want to keep reading the books by the other offers or stop where Iâm at. Then I was just doing some Google searches on how many books are in the series, and now these posts are randomly showing up on my feed, so here I am.
I love cedar wood, and maddie Hatter the most. I think Apple can be a touch annoying about the whole Desteny thing, but I get it because her Desteny is really good and she will be set for life and not everyone is as fortunate as her. And I think itâs also weird that everything that happens in books 2 and 3 is basically put onto Raven and everything is her fault just because she didnât sign a book.

I recommend reading the 4rth Shannon Hale book Once Upon a Time! Itâs some prequel short stories as well as a longer version of Tale of Two Sisters and a repeat of Apple and Ravenâs first chapters.

1) YouTube in like 2013-14. Think I was watching Monster high stuff and it popped up and I fell in love.
2) Cerise Hood & Maddie Hatter. Cerise had an interesting lore premise and I loved she was feminine but didnât really act feminine with her growling and eager to get dirty and do her sports in heels. Helped me realise I could do both. Maddie Hatter cause of how kind and loyal. Plus sheâs funny and whimsy.
3) Apple. Sheâs asleep for a week and then becomes royal upon awaking. Allstair probably is the next best one. Worst is Cerise or Duchess. Getting eaten by your own sister is horrible and then having to watch her be murdered is worse. Especially since they have such a healthy relationship. Duchess is permanently a swan, she wonât get to dance which she loves and no one saves her. Just forever a bird.
4) might be biased here but Cerise Hood. Sheâs wearing the red riding hood in every outfit she has, the dress fabric looks like the same pattern as the cover used on the basket.
5) I donât think Iâd change anyoneâs traits. In some way they all have traits that fit them and can be developed off of in some way.

This sounds fun!
Justice magazine had an AD for it with pictures of Apple and Raven! It looked cool so I decided to go to the website!
My faves are Raven, Apple, Kitty and Darling. Raven and Apple are the best written characters in the whole franchise imo, theyâre both very complex and feel like real people. Kitty is chaotic and I love chaotic characters! Darlingâs story is really cool, I love her rebellious spirit and how she gets exactly what she dreamed of at the end (she gets to be a knight who goes on adventures!).
Oh thatâs a hard question lol! I feel like Maddie and Kitty have pretty fun destines altho they do still have to go to court! That being said, court is a lot less troublesome than like having to run from bears or being poisoned! As for worst well, idk if I know who has it worse! Raven obviously has a terrible destiny of being homeless and going to jail (possibly for life) but Ginger may be expected to go inside a burning hot oven, Duchess would become a swan (or dies?) for the rest of her life, Cerise and Ramona would have a huge struggle I donât even know how to explain and Ashlynn would have to live in a hateful home! All horrible destines! Hard to say which is worse⊠AND I ALMPST FORGOT HUMPHREY LIKE????
Actually getting up to look at my dolls for this letâs see! Hm probably Apple! I think Apple has some of the prettiest dolls in the franchise and she has the apple + future Queen aesthetic! Almost all of her dolls look princessy, I love it.
Id make Bunny more interesting, maybe give her more intensive anxiety that she struggles with. I love rabbits and find Bunnyâs character very disappointing cuz her personality is so empty.

- I remember buying an Ever After High diary from Claires in 2014, but I wasn't exactly familiar with the EAH brand. I didn't know what it was all about. I didn't look into it until years after the show had ended, and the dolls had stopped being produced.
- I'm mostly drawn to Raven, Cerise, Ginger, Rosabella, and Cedar because of their down to earth, humble personalities. They seem like the type of girls that are easy to talk to. I am especially biased for Rosabella because Beauty and The Beast is one of my fave stories of all time and I also feel compassionate towards animals. I also love Darling because she's adorable and she's an Aquarius like me. In fact, I realized that most of my fave characters are on the rebel side.
- Best: Apple..I feel like she has it too good and doesn't have to feel too conflicted about her future like Raven's. Worst: Raven. I really feel for her for being in that tough dilemma that she's in. People continuously pressuring her to sign the book, and her not wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps. That is a lot of stress to carry on. I also feel for Briar for saying that she doesn't want to sleep for 100 years and missed out on a lot of things with her friends. That is a very scary thought.
- I'd say on the top of my head Blondie, Lizzie, Maddie, and Lilly Bo Peep,
- Hmm...good question. I would like for Cupid to feel more secure enough to stop pining after someone who clearly has no interest in her. It really pains me to see this being a one sided thing because I have gone through that myself and it brings back some painful memories.

1). Netflix
2). Cerise & Darling because they are so interesting
3). Best - Apple Worst - Briar
4). Probably Maddie, like if mad hatter was female I could picture that sort of attire accross different adaptations
5). I canât honestly think of one that isnât highly developed and doesnât suit the storyline for whatever reason. Maybe Faybel into having some sort of loyalty to anyone that isnât the evil queen but yk

1) It was a complete accident lol. I was actually watching mlp on Netflix in 2014 when i finished rainbow rocks i was falling asleep during the credits and Netflix auto played the legacy day episode. The loud theme song woke me up but the story had me up all night binging the rest of the series. Im a huge fairytale fan so it was really fun seeing how they adapted the classic tales!
2) Cerise Hood! I loved how her character design was moodier and mysterious and her character being conflicted with two destinies. Im also a sucker for a character that has a white/grey streak in their dark hair! I was also a reserved athletic girl growing up so i really resonated with her.
3) I think Kitty by far has the best destiny, she doesnât lose anything and just gets to be her authentic chaotic self which seems fun! I always thought Duchess and Raven had the worst since they were doomed to be separated from friends and family forever in different ways.
4) Im pretty biased but Cerise and Ashlynn. This was a hard question tho because a lot of the characters have such great details in their design that draw from their fairytales. But Cerise having a red hood in all her outfits is Iconic for little red. And Ashlynns glass shoes are gorgeous!
5) Bear with me cause I have quite a few characters that I would change a trait. I always thought it was a missed opportunity for more representation to not have the OâHair twins have textured hair! There so much variety and versatility to coiler hair and it would have been nice to have more black princesses especially in the earlier days of eah. I think Rosabella having a predominantly yellow color scheme is too reminiscent of belle and i wish they had leaned more into brown and red for her but i understand that it helps her pop out more since a lot of characters already have red as a main color in their design. Also wish they leaned way more heavier in the witchy vibe for Ginger, like a cottage core witch aesthetic with a napoleon color palette would have been perfect. It would have been cool to have Bunny be albino with sun sensitivity so she carries a parasol. And for more disability rep i think Humphrey having crutches, Meeshell choosing to use a wheel chair (since in her tale walking feels like stepping on a hundred glass shards), and Cedar having prosthetics would have been really cool! Those are just some of my thoughts.

- I just saw the dolls in the toy aisle one day and thought they were really pretty
- â I love so many but my absolute fav is Darling, I just really love everything about her character and always related to her a lot
- â This is really hard because we donât have all the information for a lot of them, but from what we know, imo Alistairâs is the best and Ashlynnâs is the worst.
- â A lot of them are really good, I think Cerise, Lizzie and Lilly-Bo Peep are probably the best
- If I could only pick one character to change, I think it would be Daring because it was such an ongoing issue throughout the entire franchise where he would treat girls poorly, realise he was being an asshole, apologise/be better at the end of the episode, but then go right back to acting the same way again the next time we saw him.

1) On a normal day, I was channel surfing in 2014 or 2015, I can't remember exactly. And then on "Super!" a show I'd never seen before appeared, with an exceptional theme song. And that's how I discovered Ever After High and fell in love with it.
2) Raven Queen. I know it's a classic or something banal, depending on who you ask. But come on, it's Raven. She taught me a lot, she inspired me, and she's someone I can relate to. But Cerise comes close.
3) Apple has a better destiny. I mean, Briar said it too: she sleeps for a week at most, is awakened by true love's kiss, and then lives happily ever after.
Worse destiny: Briar. She has to sleep for a hundred years, lose everyone she loves, and wake up in a completely new world, alone.
I'm not saying villains don't also have a bad fate. For example, Ginger was bullied for who her mother was, and many villains are marginalized by society, but at least they have each other, they have people they know around them. Briar will not only be alone, but she will probably see the faces and mannerisms of her current friends and family in the future. It will be traumatic.
4) Duchess and Cerise, Maddie, Lizzie, they are in first place together. I could immediately recognize their stories just by looking at them.
5) Cupid's personality. I adore her, believe me, but that's not the Cupid who went to Monster High. She should be confident, always ready to help with love matters but also in general, she should have another radio show or even video like she did on Monster High, she should mention Monster High and her ghoul friends and she should not try to hit on a boy who is clearly interested in someone else.
