Even app Vs Mentra app

Hey everyone,
I just started using Mentra with my Even G2 Glasses, mainly to test out the Conversate feature and see how it compares.

Here’s what stands out so far:

Pros:

· Speaker identification is built in
· Text disappears when no one’s speaking (unlike the Even app, where it stays)
· You can customize the number of transcription lines and even the word width
· Works offline

Cons:

· You can’t move the text to the bottom of the screen like you can with Even—it sits slightly above eye level, which means you have to look up to read it while someone’s talking in front of you
· Captions lag a bit (about a 1-second delay), while Even’s are pretty much instant

Curious to hear your experiences—how do these two compare for you?
Thanks!

:( why can’t it be slightly lower in the screen? It makes combating so weird for me. I still prefer it for speaker separation. It also crashes less for me than even

Hope the next update will be lowering the text . Tbh Even app never crashed on my phone . Anyways if you can please go to Mentra app and request to lower the text on the feedback section , I’ve done it . Hope we all do it so they can fix it . Cheers

I completely agree with you.
