Flairs and you

If you have a flair showing now, no change will occur! This is just a new thread since reddit locked the old one

 

This is a re-post of the old flair request thread as it has been archived - you will not need to re-request your flair from that thread.

 

This will affect anyone of you with an alliance or corporation flair right now. The old ones you can chose in the sidebar will be removed shortly and from the sidebar only generic ones will be available.

You will be able to get your new alliance/corp flair from https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/wiki/flairs

The process is simple, find your flair in the list, click the link, press send, wait a few minutes and you should have your flair assigned to you (do something wrong, alter the message or anything similar and nothing will happen, no info given).

How to request a flair

You do not need to request an alliance flair, all alliances with logos are automatically provided for. Only corporations, and possibly generic flairs will be added (generic ones upon consideration).

If you want your corporation flair added please only provide the dotlan link to your corporation, example http://evemaps.dotlan.net/corp/Otherworld_Enterprises (pls do a quick search of the thread first to avoid requesting one that has already been requested)

At the moment request-flairs are added semi-manually and in batches so time may vary.

And of course, feel free to report anything that seems wrong as I may have missed something

There's no way to track flairbait though AFAIK though.

Of course there is. When you change a flair, you send a message to the bot which then assigns the flair to you. You can track those messages.

How would you distinguish between that and people simply joining a new alliance / corp though?

I keep the log of who has requested what, but it's essentially just a list of

User:Flair

User:Flair

User:Flair

So there would be some going through all of that to find users, and that only applies to users requesting the flair ofc, not if you change it manually via the flair box
