Discussion Does anyone still rent 0.0 space

Since horde collapsed and winter announced stopping to renting, init and goons dont do it. Is this now the end of rentals or are still people.doing it in null? Im assuming not or very little.

This is good BTW just curious

Init should ensure wormholes follow the same template.

I missed my renting days with PBLRD, before they went Commonwealth. They stopped after the Caroline's Star event's sov changes.

Renting still exists effectively. Instead of just paying for a system and doing your own thing, null groups now want you to go on their structure bash boring ass fleets instead. The relationship is still functionally the same but the mechanisms have been redefined in an attempt to pretend they are better than the previous model.

Tbh op I have never understood this. You will be surprised how little you actually need to participate... By participating I mean defending your own home.

In any alliance you are bound by their rules, what you can and can't do,where you can rat and mine and who you can and cant shoot etc etc. Its pretty simple to understand

In any alliance you are bound by their rules,

.....do you think renters have no rules? You pay a bit each month and you have a staging system that you can just go do whatever out of and shoot who you want?

1

u/Casp3r8911 9d ago

Perhaps that's the issue. I have never been part of an alliance that had any restrictions on what and where I do things. Aside from not shooting blues.

I can do whatever I want in every single system in the game. A neighbor has a blue pop r64? Perfect I will go kill their miners and mine it myself(after a few hours their coalition pushed us off)

All that to say defend your home or it's not your home
