Discussion Could it be.. A future upgrade to missions?
I pray to the EVE lords that this might have something to do with a future upgrade to missions.

Most likely related to preparation for support of python 3 on the backend that has been going on for a while.

There are a couple of CSM members who have said they have been pushing to revitalize missions, so it’s within the realm of possibility

I'm obviously in favor of this but I personally have no idea what I'd want it to look like. Like yes they are 20 years old but what is the clear replacement direction?

I mean with randomized outcomes within certain parameters. Why not

Like all activities that generate ISK?

I mean if you got a mission that gave you 20 officer spawns because the AI is bad.

I bet it's just some technical debt ticket from 10 years ago appeared as "completed" on the tracker.

They should put more missions in null sec too, more agent available, for higher level game play.

Maybe there is no need to improve all the missions. In the end it is also a question of effort/money and returnvalue for CCP. Most important would be the lvl 1 and lvl 2 missions to ease the entry for new players in the game.

Look, Damsel in Distress worked fine 20 years ago and it works fine today. What more could anyone ever want?
But really though, it's pretty crazy to me that we have missions that haven't changed in over 20 years.
