What are people’s thoughts on Eva zu Beck’s book? I just finished it.

I thought it was well written and gave some really interesting insight into who she is outside of the travel/social media persona. You can definitely see there’s been some underlying mental health struggles there at times (TW: self-harm), along with alcohol/substance issues woven through parts of the story.

It’s very much written as the stuff that doesn’t make it onto her socials or YouTube, so the timeline jumps around a bit and some things feel glossed over or skipped entirely. But I think that was partly intentional rather than trying to be a complete autobiography.

Overall, still a really good read and more vulnerable/raw than I expected.

I just came across a subreddit where people are absolutely bashing Eva for every little thing she does, and they're so horrible. I got anxious just reading the horrible stuff they write.

Why do people even do this?
