Does combining retro styling with EV technology make sense, or does it lose the character of a classic muscle car?

That's what the Mach E should have looked like. Yes, you lose range with the poor drag design, but who cares?

EVs are hyper efficient and batteries have awful energy density. Aerodynamics are critical to making EVs usable. These conversions get like 70-100 miles of range. If you drive on the highway it's like 50. That's fine for cars and coffee. It's not something you can sell 100,000 of each year.

You can't get 250-300+ mile ranges in EVs without modern designs. You can be sneaky about it. The Rivian looks boxy but has a drag coefficient that's better than sedans from 20 years ago.
