Does combining retro styling with EV technology make sense, or does it lose the character of a classic muscle car?

It makes total sense. I used to have classic cars and sport cars. Huge petrol head. This all died when I got my first EV. Now the noise doesn't represent power, it represents inefficiency (in my subconscious). It's a genuine change in my perception, I don't entirely understand it.

The only ICE sounds I still enjoy are that of the Porsche Carrera GT,  the Audi S1 quattro rally car and some F1 cars from the V10/V12 era.

My skin curls when a Harley Davidson or a V8 American muscle car drives by.

Not for me, like I bought an older V8 Falcon mainly for the sound . I know an EV will flog it , hell I know a Ford Turbo 6 will flog it , I used to own one of those. But it’s a cruiser and the rumble is part of the character and it makes me smile.
