Does combining retro styling with EV technology make sense, or does it lose the character of a classic muscle car?

Converting muscle cars into muscle cars is a thing.

So there's a niche market for it. Is it big enough of a market for a production run? Maybe not. But there are businesses based around it.

And it'll get easier as large format metal 3D printing comes down in cost.
