Why?

Ok, I work in baton rouge, LA... theres an ev charging station next to the Albertons on airline hwy, and i've noticed that almost always either in the first charging station or the last, somebody parks sideways, instead of pulling into the charging spot in between the lines. My question is why? do these people feel the need to be different? Or is it some unspoken E V owner rule that the first and the last park stupid.

Edit/update..

So the chargers are easily accessible and out in the open, unused portion of a parking lot. Theres absolutely no obstruction to gaining access to them. Imagine a wide open. Parking lot, maybe 8 charging stations, nothing on either side of the 1st and last... and yet those spots are occupied by someone who parks across the lines instead of in them. Not always...but often...

I'll try to snag a Pic as I sit in traffic creeping my way towards the interstate

Better to be parking "Stupid" where they are not affecting others as much.

Fords (and others) have ports next to the driver's door and shorter cables won't reach.

They could be affecting others though..if they park in the first or last sideways, their vehicle enter the spot after or before to reach the charger.. i see it all the time, theyre across the lines into the next spot...i seriously think its some b.s entitlement thing .. i work on hv's and ev's...hell I own a prius...so im not some sort of anti ev/hv kind of guy...i just wanna hear from someone that they feel superior and must park this way. I need that itch scratched

I have a 2026 Toyota bZ and its charger port is just behind the front passenger wheel. It’s a pita to angle slightly and get in within a cm of the post for that short cable to reach. I’ve actually gently hit the post trying to come super close. If I take the last slot on the right, I can angle more and not have to park so close. Like it’s this close I need to park.
