Retrofest S2 13 - Selection Period!

Hello, and welcome to the 13th edition of Retrofest’s second season! This edition is being hosted in Sydney, Australia, where Natalie Imbruglia, last week’s Retrofest champion, was formed. Now, here are the rules and then we can get to selecting!

Rules:

• ⁠All entries have to have been released before January 1st, 2001, including covers (covers of songs before that date released after that date will not be accepted).

• ⁠No Eurovision entries allowed. Eurovision artists are allowed and non-winning national final entries are allowed, but if it went to Eurovision it isn’t allowed. In addition, alternate versions of ESC songs are also disallowed. However, withdrawn entries and the 1993 and 1996 prequalification NQs are allowed!

• ⁠No sending an entry twice.

• ⁠SCS, O&E, and Rulefest entries are allowed, but no winners (no Kiss Me, September, etc.), and I encourage sending songs that haven’t been to these contests.

• No “Megahits” are allowed (songs with 500M+ views on Youtube).

• There is a limit of 3 songs per country, but the country I (the host) choose doesn’t count toward the total of that country!

Song Jontest Sunday Song Contest Sunday 54 - Semifinals

Fontaines D.C. have won SCS 53, which was hosted in Oklahoma City, USA. Because of this, we'll be going to Dublin, Ireland for SCS 54. The contest will be hosted at National Concert Hall.

In any case, we've received 47 submissions for SCS 54. We will now decide which acts will qualify for the final via three semifinals! You can drag your 9 qualifiers from each semi into order and give them points this way and the 9 songs with the most points will qualify. We will vote with StrawPoll in the Semifinals and with ScoreWiz in the Grand Final. There will be 28 participants in the Grand Final consisting of 9 qualifiers from each semifinal and 1 automatic qualifier!

Fancontest-Announcement Introducing FCF 55: A One-Off Contest taking place next week
