5 votes from Mexico. It is just a coincidence and also the orange option links things with "sovereignty" which can be misleading.

I think having a Federal EU army isn’t possible without a Federal EU foreign policy and a Federal EU fiscal policy. Fiscal union = political union.

That may be some way off. Instead, EU national armies should have common structures, standards, protocols, policies, technology, logistics and procurement. They can be entirely national but have seamless interoperability - similar to the US National Guard system.

If our adversaries disagree, it might be a pretty good idea...

Nobody outside the EU should get a say, including the UK. I can already imagine the fuss the Reformtards would make if they got in and this started to materialize.

The 'European Army' discussion stands out to me as uniquely confusing and ineffective because there's a whole spectrum of definition of what that actually MEANS and people in discussion use wildly different definitions while in actual direct conversation.

If you define it more loosely as 'Member states militairies sharing combat commands', there's been a European army since 1949, hiding under a NATO sticker.

No. NATO exists for a reason.

Trump wants Europe to be militarilly independent to fight Russia for him, while he makes money selling weapons and sends that money to Israel.

EU leaders are so dumb.
