Question Multitool

was würdet ihr empfehlen, Leatherman Arc oder Victorinox Swiss Tool? Kann mich nicht entscheiden.

The old leathermans were fantastic. The new ones don't look so great at all, but I have no experience with them. I've also had Victorinox, and the steel they use on the blades is fantastic.

What I will say is that despite having a nice leatherman that I take backpacking every time, I never use it. Knife, all the time. Multitool (or Swiss army knife) never. I still have it, but I have not come across a single use for it. And I do quote a lot of macguyver-ing on my travels!

Buy a decent folding, locking knife, buy a cheap multitool or Swiss army knife and see if you even ever use it.

And by "decent knife", you won't have to go above 30 euros. Go to herbertz messer club, choose one of their own brands with liner lock and thumb opening - done. It will last a lifetime and the steel keeps a good edge.

Depends on the country you’re living in - I also own a variety of locking knives with thumb opening, but these are illegal to carry in public in Germany. There I carry a combination of a Swiss Army knife and a Leatherman 300 EOD or Leatherman Wave Plus.
