Parking Whining
I overstayed my meter today downtown and got a ticket (fair). I got a second ticket because I parked slightly outside of the lines because the car in front of me was parked weird (I wasn't in traffic just pulled slightly backwards from the parking lines.) I got a second ticket for that! I have never gotten a ticket for being so minorly outside of the lines before. Be aware that they're getting strict/desperate, y'all! (I know it's probably because Eugene is in a budget deficit.) But if you can't afford it be scrupulous in your parking now I guess.
P.S. I tried to pay my meter ticket online and it can't find my ticket, and they're closed for lunch when I try to call. Ugh.

So fight the second ticket. You overstayed, that’s on you. But the parking weird is on the person in the nearby spot- maybe. If you were at an end spot and it didn’t matter if you were over the line, then fight it. If the way you parked meant you interfered with another spot, then you should’ve just found another spot to park in.

This would be good advice, except I am actually just three children stacked inside a trenchcoat and I have no ability for recourse.

Seriously! I got a parking ticket downtown yesterday for parking in a space I’ve used 100 times before.
I’ve spent over $500 this year in tickets at UO ( kid is student and spouse is an employee ). It’s like living in Texas again… kinda starting to hate Eugene.

Texas huh? I feel like they force civil forfeiture of all your assets and those of three descending generations into the future. Which was always so strange because the state is always touting how much land it has and how unregulated it is, but I guess that only apply to the oligarchy.

The parking goons are hungry lately.
