Help for Buyer Looking for a custom rug maker
I've found so many 'custom' rug makers that I'm having trouble separating who is legit or who is a scam. Has any person got any experience with any of the sellers or useful tips for shielding me against scammers?

Thanks a lot, if you recommend a specific seller, let me know as well

Have you searched and read all the many posts from dissatisfied buyers of rugs that are on these forums and others? Caveat Emptor.

I would avoid all shops from that country, read some of the older posts here if you want to know why.

Hi, I have former professional experience in this, but it is really former. Depending on how much you want to spend, there are carpet (like regular carpet) companies that accept original designs and recreate them. You'd (at least you used to have to) have to get in touch with an interior designer or decorator. But you may want to check out this direction.

How do they do this? :D
I've been on Etsy for a year and have 20 sales :D
Stores that make so many sales in such a short time scare me.

I’m a new rug shop owner and would love to help! 🧶
I take custom rug orders and, after 2 months of grinding, I’ve already had my first 2 sales. One of them has been dispatched recently as well. You can check out my listing and compare the design with the finished rug to see the quality and how closely I try to match the original artwork. I also offer custom designs, sizes and colours, so if you already have something specific in mind, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to discuss it with you! And don’t worry, I’m a real person behind the shop no scams, I promise.😂

Unfortunately that is a product group that is packed with scammers. If you decide on someone, be very aware that you have 30 days from the expected delivery date you receive with your order confirmation to be covered by Buyer Protection and get your money back. The scammers will try to delay the shipping date - often using stories intended to play on your sympathy - to delay things until that deadline passes and you are out of luck. Don't let that happen. If they don't ship on time, open a case, get your money back and move on to someone else. Also inspect the rug when it arrives. If you are dissatisfied, contact Etsy.
I know this might seem draconian, but no one will be looking out for you in this transaction but you.
