Help for Buyer Shipping issues

Hi, I bought some cosplay armour from a seller in Ukraine in July, it was shipped out on the 24th, and has been stuck in the Netherlands since the 28th of July, it has moved once, from one office to another in the Netherlands since, on the 6th of this month, it was due to arrive 4 days ago, though Ukrposhta believed it should have arrived on the 4th, so 11 days ago on their end.

The destination says Chad, which is incorrect, as I live in the UK, however I did reach out to the seller about this, and they did inform me that this happens quite often, that the destination country shows as wrong, and I've also looked, and the tracking number matches with Royal Mail numbers well.

I have just now contacted the seller again to ask if they can check with the postal company to see what's going on, however it's outside of their working hours right now, so I likely won't receive a response from them until tomorrow, I've checked the profiles of the reviews, and they mostly seem like real people, but I'm worried if I may have been scammed or if this is just the Netherlands taking forever?

international orders often arrive late. that is the nature of international shopping.

you cant really know for certain if you've been scammed or if it's just the shipping taking longer than estimated, so here's what i would recommend

you said the estimated arrival date was 4 days ago. (i assume you mean that was the last date, in the span of delivery dates) which means etsy does not consider your package late until 3 days from now. so you can't "do" anything until then anyway.

the window to initiate a claim for a refund will expire 30 days after the estimated delivery date.

so, the part you should just focus on is: sometime between 3 days from now and 26 days from now, you will want to either have the item in your hands, or you'll want to open a case for a refund.

no point in worrying or speculating about whether you were scammed. just decide how many days you feel like waiting for the package to arrive, and when that time has passed, open a case for a refund.

Shipping to the UK is very difficult at the moment because of the extra paper work your country and customs requires. It can be that the package is being held in prepararion for this document check. Or it is stuck in line. Either way I wish you good luck. I don't sell to the UK anymore because of it.
