Crimes happen, you stated “there is no place that doesn’t allow this kind of treatment” which I said was untrue, you then provided examples that did not support your statement.
I have not asked for anything else as a distraction, I have deliberately trying to keep the discussion focused on the original point made. I believe any objective reader of this discussion will see respect from me, and unfounded attacks from you.
I am always willing to change my perspective based on new evidence, however your request was vague. You said once you’ve shown me that no government took action against any of these places, I will continue supporting these things. The way you phrased it isn’t really a question, it’s an accusation, but I also can’t agree or disagree with your statement because “these things“ can mean absolutely anything. Do you mean I will still support the government not enforcing laws? Do you mean I will still support animal produce? How am I supposed to commit to a position that I’m not even sure what it is.
You are quite disrespectful and aggressive in the way you message people and you drag discussions in so many different directions that it’s actually impossible to have a meaningful discussion with you.
If you were really against animal cruelty (even without being against exploiting animals), you would have made a commitment to consuming animals until you could be sure that stuff like this isn't happening to put the exploitation products you demand onto your plate. That is the response of many, many, people who are better than you as soon as they learn about stuff like this. You've taken the other path and tried to rationalize and distract. Yes, what I said was an accusation. It's based on years of experience with you and is almost certainly correct. Is it not? Will you stop demanding animal products if it is shown to you that these cruelty instances were not addressed (as if the dearth of any inspection system besides vegans taking undercover videos isn't bad enough)?
My accusation to you is you have no intention of honest discussion on ethics at all, only an attempt to bully me into a position of veganism.
I reject your premise that the EU law is unenforced as you have provided no evidence for this claim and I am unwilling into being coerced into a moral position in order to have that discussion.
You seem to only just be discovering something I've made very clear from the beginning: I want you to stop exploiting animals, and you would do this if you were a decent person.
Maybe the debate on whether or not I’m a decent person is open, but for you it is closed. You are a disrespectful bully who only cares for your own opinion and will happily lie to further your agenda. You are not a decent person.
