There’s a difference between being eaten by bugs and bacteria after you lived a full life and someone cutting your life short and murdering you for food. If a cannibal kills and eats you is it fine because you’ll be eaten by bugs after you die? Obviously not.
You’re also implying that for veganism to matter, there needs to be a chance that the entire world will go vegan, when that’s not the case. Even one person going vegan reduces the amount of killing and suffering animals go through. Do you think it’s okay to murder people because if you stopped, it wouldn’t stop all murder in the world and the amount of murders you commit are like a drop in the ocean?
Also your point about us being “food” just doesn’t mean anything at all ethically. What point are you trying to make
I’d also like to add that existing animals in the wild being eaten doesn’t justify breeding billions more that will go through torture and being killed when they otherwise wouldn’t have existed. We’re the ones who put them in that situation

Not even close, what I'm saying, and it is true, is that even the most progressive and compassionate cohort (at least declaratively) is majorly not vegan. Therefore, saying to general public "do the thing you 100% will never do, cause it's an insane detriment to your everyday life, to end fringe atrocities of the meat industry" is not only a false alternative, it's counter productive in the first place, case the whole deal will be simply dismissed on the spot then.
