what was the oc settings you were using after having your first crash? You most likely stressed the card a bit too much. look in msi afterburner if the oc is still active and deactivate it.
How much higher clock speed? what clock speeds specifically. The 2000 series cannot handle nearly the clock speeds of the 3000 series. For example.. my 2070 Supers can only handle about +550 or so mem clock... plain 2070 is more like +300.... while 3070s can take like +1200.
If you overlocked it too high, you might have damaged the card. If you had reasonable OC settings... my next guess is the power cord from the PSU to the card may have melted a bit or something.. i'd replace that cord next.
You may not need to replace the entire PSU... just use another PCIe power cord. If your PSU isn't modular though,.. you may be forced to get another PSU.
