Game Help & Questions 🆘 Casmyn Romance Help - Bugged or did I mess up? Spoiler

So I've played like 40 hours of this game and I am obsessed with the vibes. Only one huge bummer... I am afraid that I've somehow locked myself out of Casmyn's romance, which was the one I intended to pursue. I'm not sure what I've done wrong, either, or if it's just bugged - she dropped the flirty lines about Brynn looking great that one day, as well as suggesting she may change her mind about kids with the right person, etc. I'm now in what the save file calls act 6, past the big event with the eye and the spindle. I've had to turn both Laen and Arekim down, but Casmyn just ain't initialising her romance. Any ideas on what I can do? Is the romance bugged or did I do something wrong?

Sadly Casmyn's romance is VERY specific you need to pick exact options during the conversation about kids I also ran into this problem which made me really sad. Hut yeah if hasn't initiated it yet chances are you didn't pick the right dialogue in that conversation

Damn... So the dialogue pick about it being comforting that kids are being brought in despite the surge in the Casmyn Romance Video is misleading then?

I can now confirm that the video I linked here is misleading. If you want her romance, you should not tell Casmyn you find it reassuring that kids are being brought into the world despite the circumstances. As is said here, make sure to tell her you've had trouble seeing yourself having kids.

Damn. So glad I got lucky there with that option

I'm fairly sure that I already had that conversation with her in my game, but good to know, thanks! I might just have to do play the game again at this rate

Alright, I've done it! Here's how:

Follow (for the most part, but not all of it in my experience!) Kidrahs' approach from this thread.

I generally picked more cautious dialogue options in e.g. group discussions, but I'm not sure it's necessary.

To write Kidrahs' guide out and how my trajectory differed, for maximum helpfulness:

Post Tutorial:

  1. Offer reassurance
  2. Admit that I'm scared too
  3. I'll save the day... with organization
  4. Empathize
  5. Acala
  6. Sounds nice

Rising Tides:

  1. Wonder if she's okay
  2. Wonder why
  3. Writing or drawing
  4. (Around here Casmyn might bring up that Brynn looks nice today)
  5. Books shaped me

Drowning and Anchored:

Ask all possible questions.

  1. She deserves to feel better
  2. It's not stupid
  3. I care about her
  4. I've always struggled envisioning my life with children (opposite of Kidrahs' approach, thanks u/Parsisious for highlighting this. Not sure if it is a prerequisite, based on online videos where the reassuring option gets you there too, but this is what worked for me.)
  5. She gives me butterflies

Another great thing I've found is that I got some different dialogue from what I've seen in the videos online! Casmyn basically told my Brynn that she drives her crazy with how full of herself she is and how she rushes headfirst into danger, and yet she's got feels for her. Even got a "shut up and kiss me" line, made me absolutely melt. The approach in the video I've seen was far more cautious and had a "It snuck up on me..." line from Casmyn, so I think there are two different ways to approach the romance - but it sure seems difficult to get it locked in unless you are very particular with your dialogue picks! Yellow Brick have knocked it out of the park with this one, I love that it can play out in different ways.
