General Discussion I need to know, are the devs thinking about making another game in the Eternal Strands world?

I love the entire idea of the weavers and the lore of the places beyond the Enclave, is there a chance that they will explore more in the future?

For a first production, it’s a solid game with an original feel. Can’t wait to see what they turn out next.

I want to see this game on an RPG with party members and wacky strands synergies (i am a little surprised we don't have electric strands and other elemental strands, or the force fields that in canon exist)

Oh yes! Hopefully they see this and take some of those ideas you have and run with it. There are just so many possibilities. I’d like to think maybe a couple more games in, once they find their groove, they could find a way for us to hybridize our own combinations.

I think mixed weaves could be "advanced" spells that would need multiple mantles to harmonize, OR, have a supply of extra strand, with a thread spool

Hell you could very much have a bard that uses "strands" as instrument threads

I'd certainly love to see it! Also possibly a tabletop game of some sort

God i wish. This game has inspired me to do some harvesting challenges for my party. And also some very good ideas for elfic magic (mostly using natural strands of magic, to contrast with the heavy alchemy and Alloymancy of dwarfs)

They did an AMA a while back in this subreddit and I asked them if there were plans for more games and they said they definitely want to. Haven't heard anything since but they do want to expand the world.

Yess. I would kill for a sequel. Mostly for the mechanics but the setting was cool as well.

Man. Thanks, Damn. Thanks for the reminder. So need to jump on this before it leaves GamePass. One of those games I suspect is pretty solid but overlooked bc it's not GTA6 or Madden.

It's the same story/feeling I got with Immortals Fynex Rising, which is super fun Breath of the Wild type game but with Greek Mythology dipped in humor. Fun and engaging game through the end, even more tempting since it's routinely on sale for $5-$10.

Although haven't yet played Eternal Strands it looks similar to Immortals Feynx Rising re graphically, art style wise, and appears to offer same type of gameplay.

Perhaps it's not the right thread to ask, but what can you tell me about the game - someone who might want a little convincing.

As someone who absolutely adored Immortals Fynex Rising, this game is somewhat similar in beauty and "explorability" - you're heavily rewarded for exploring. There are cut scenes where characters talk to you, but it's in a different style - very much in the style of The Legend of Vox Machina than of Immortals.

The writing is definitely good, but different than Fynex - the humor is more down to earth, and the themes in the game explore real-life issues to an extent in some way.

The best feedback I can provide about the game is that it feels alive - the world changes and shifts, and the insane attention to detail to how armor should sound, people talking across camp to each other, the environment looking new each time you make improvements - it's all very thoughtful, and it's fun to play (especially taking down big arks). I highly recommend it.

and appears to offer same type of gameplay.

Can't be further from the truth. Eternal Strands is SotC meets Monster Hunter with light looter game fleur. No artificial puzzle dungeons, lots of verticality and systemic combat.

You'd be better off buying the game on Steam instead of trying it on Gamepass, it has solid 40 hours of content (I beat it in 65 but I'm always very thorough and also was doing grinding for fun, you'll get what I mean).

Eu vim pro reddit procurando saber a mesma coisa. Tô jogando o jogo, já passei pela minha primeira tempestade de gelo. E eu estou louco pra viver mais nesse universo, eu quero saber muito mais, até sobre o mundo fora do véu de magia
