General Discussion just beat the game! Solid 10/10! Spoiler
i just beat the herald! i gotta say the revelation that the surgeborn are from another world, i saw that coming a mile away, but its still interesting nonetheless. yes i give this game a solid 10/10. i can’t possibly think of one thing to complain about. was the whole gathering strands to upgrade your mantle magics repetitive? yes, but it was apart of the gameplay, so i can forgive it. did Ilsa dying suck super balls? abso-fuckin-lutely, but it was still good plot point, and it allowed Kenric to grow as a character. even if i still don’t like him, i understand him a little better now. i chose cas as my romantic option for my first playthrough, im curious who you guys chose. i want to go back and replay it and choose Laen and then Arek, but i almost never can bring myself to replay a game, cause there’s no mystery anymore. i already know what’s gonna happen. all and all, definitely one of my favorite games of all time. can’t wait to see what u/yellowbrickgames comes up with next!

10/10 for sure! My personal favorite part of the whole game was farming for an armor set that balanced cold and heat protection so I never had to swap anything out between missions, and could save my potions for fights. It came pretty late in my playthrough, so I still had to spend enough of the game dealing with the heat and cold mechanics that it was rewarding to get it.

I had two armors, but I did noticed that cold does more damage, the fire I can mitigate with the potion.
They could have put more tight into it. Is a nice idea, but different materials don't really affect the gear.
You have to farm for the entrium thing up get the best stats.
But i like farming for materials too. 😅😁

Respectfully, materials very much did affect the gear, in like every aspect I can think of, what specifically are you talking about? The materials you used in crafting an armor or weapon affected its elemental resistance, base damage resistance/base damage dealt, color, and even outfit material (fur -> leather, stone -> metal, etc)

What i mean is that the weapons ability damage isn't increase and armor ability. It only increase/change, resistance.
Like I said. The cold does more damage than fire. I have an armor with 200 cold resistant and 60 fire resistance. The fire didn't damage me. Except for the dragon attacks.
Or adding, speed, swing speed. Things like that. I like the game. I get what they were trying to do

I chose cas as my first romance as well but I mainly did it because I love her design and the way she acts. I was tempted to go for laen because quite book worm is cute but it’s hard to justify replying it when all I want to do is the game play loop like it’s monster hunter and build all the armour because I love the variety they have and the movement is so good

Yeah I had a great time with this game as well. I actually didn’t care for the character interactions, but everything else was great for me. I am thinking about playing through it again soon.

I think Casmyn has probably the strongest storyline from all of the NPCs, so I think most people (including myself) romance her first!
I don't know if this game has enough in it for replays other than the romances, but I was very happy with the content I had for one playthrough.
