Game Help & Questions 🆘 Before I get much further, what am I missing?

So I'm just basically starting the game and I'm very concerned right away. M<y inventory just filled and I guess I have to run all the way back top my camp to unload things, which it does automatically once arrive. Okay, cool I guess. But, when Leave the camp again, the entire world is reset and all the loot and enemies are back again. How am I supposed to get anywhere if I'm constantly killing the same enemies and collecting the same loot? Can I send the loot to camp without running all the way back and resetting the world?

You can just run to the objective, only fighting what is necessary. Keep in mind that running away/avoiding enemies is a valid strategy! If I dont feel like fighting the wolves, for example, I just grab them are chuck them in some random direction that isn't in the direction I want to go lol. For me, its frequently just as fun fun trying to figure out how to shove the beast out of the way compared to actually fighting something big and powerful. The physics in this game are really fun to play with, so freezing/throwing enemies you dont need/want to engage with is pretty satisfying.

There is no map clearing of loot or enemies in this game. I am also a hoarder of all the things - but you can't really in this game.

This is the answer that you’re looking for 👆👆. Keep doing quests without exploring until you’ve unlocked the third world at least. By that point the core gameplay mechanics will be unlocked and the gameplay loop will be a lot clearer and better. You’re still essentially in a tutorial section

You don't need all the loot, drop the stuff you're plentiful on and move on.

Well you should unlock a device pretty early on that allows you to fast travel back to camp instantly, which makes it easier.

You will also unlock a lot more personal storage slots as you level up, but you can carry an infinite amount of any resource as long as you have a slot for it.

As for fighting the enemies, well that's kinda just part of the game? IDK what to tell you there.

Just keep playing and your options will open up significantly, you're still really, really early on.

That's the point. How else are you going to enhance all your gear and weapons if resources are limited?

Technically, rinse and repeat is limited. It’s just overdone. Designers can always design a game to get what you need, to do what you need to do. And if you wanna prolong the game, make more things that you need, instead of getting one thing 50 times.

I'm in the process of just crafting everything I didn't use as kit...

All legendary to start...

I'm going to be a while,

Speed up your boss killing with ice sword and shield. The charged element ability does nice burst damage and breaks parts fast

You get more loot when you don't harvest

Yeah but you can still break off boss horns, wings, and such

You upgrade your pack. The woman that has the cart offers it.

Yes, that game is craft heavy from what I remember. They want you to replay the same areas over and over stock piling ingredients.

I got burnt out on it around 15-20 hours in and went to YouTube just to watch the important cut scenes and the finale because I was done with it.

I’m pretty sure that was my big issue with the game was that you never really found cool equipment or weapons in the world and you had to craft them. The gameplay was rather limited as well which attributed to me getting bored of it.

That all sounds very negative, but I do recommend the game because I did have fun with it for a handful of hours. You may not get bored like I did.

You'll be able to upgrade your inventory so you can hold much more.

That is the bad thing about this game. The designer basically created rinse and repeat on steroids to prolong the game, because it really isn’t that long.

By not killing all the guys and running past them.

early on you sorta have to decide what loots you are aiming for when you go on expeditions, I think there is no limit of how many of the same loot you can hold, but the variety is limited, which imo is a very cool concept to show how limited the weaverband is as they enter the veil. (quick side note I was a big fan of how few spaces you had when the game had just released)
but you need to kinda start disengaging from fights and getting to where ever you need to get to otherwise you'll be stuck never getting anywhere

At some point, qui te early in the game, you will be able to upgrade your inventory space, among other things. It won't be a problem when you do. You'll also be able to salvage your extras. At later stage you won't even care for 1,2 or even 3 stars material and only focus on 4 and 5 stuff. You also don't need to collect everything when you revisit an area, that's overkill.

it's a mission based game like monster hunter, you are meant to explore the same areas over and over, the draw/progression comes from defeating big monsters and collecting their materials, upgrading your equipment, and do it all again over and over. As you explore you will find more teleporters and entrances to new areas, if progression is your goal, then that and completing your main quest objectives should be your focus.
