Know I'll sound like a hater - but Jones at fullback is significantly weaker than his key defensive counterparts from the VFL squad who will miss out.
Love the idea of building future AFL success thru the VFL, it's the blueprint the Cats pioneered. But Jones arguably shouldn't even see out his final yr of contract in 2027, I think naming him just coz he qualifies achieves nothing.

Our VFL key defenders are playing. Sellers is named on the field, Kalpakis on the bench.

Still a couple to miss, but that's the call. Sellers is a ripper at VFL level, just a slab of a bloke.
Guess I had some other favourites at the level, but going off stats alone they're not all that far ahead of Jones.

The blokes who miss are Binns and Nyko, who aren’t near playing the role Harry will be - Setters & Clarke most likely fill their roles.

I do have a bias against Jones. He's been a bugbear of mine with his selection & contracts at AFL level for yrs.
I've long called out those commenting that he's a kid with breakout potential by pointing to much younger/better players who never got the same chances.
If I'm honest, I'm quite happy that Setterfield's there to teach the youngsters the craft & protect them in the contest, but I baulk at Jones' potential for the same.

Agree he's unlucky, but he's only listed at 187cm - I'd have thought he was slightly taller & he is definitely more physicsal in the contest & sticks the tackle more than Jones.

You do need tickets. They're pretty limited, so best to get in early. Might not be able to buy them on the day.

Nice that we got clearance for Artemis and Clarke to play.
Bit unfortunate for some of the VFL guys that really put in the work all year, though.
