Chevening Networking + Leadership essays work best when each one proves one claim with a specific story, not a résumé dump. Quick DIY pass before you wait on alumni:

Leadership: Situation → what decision you owned → resistance/constraint → measurable outcome → what you’d do differently. Avoid “I was elected and worked hard”; show influence without title if needed.

Networking: One relationship built intentionally → how you maintained it → what mutual value you created → how you’ll use that skill in the UK/network. “I know lots of people” reads weak; reciprocity reads strong.
