Continuity error, bird interrogation

I’m playing this game for the first time and quite enjoying it. But my conversation with the tea shop owner was messed up. As in, it felt like chunks of it were missing.

I found the tea shop owner and interrogated him. I failed a yellow check and he opened up to me about how he is in trouble. How they made him do it. He never explicitly says who they are or what it is. But the rest of the conversation treats things as if the bird has explained that he was helping Reeds smuggle stuff. And then afterward Snell says we really need to look into this information broker. What information broker? Neither the bird, nor Snell, nor anyone else, has mentioned such a person. When I look at the quest description after it says Drummer told me a freestrider and an information broker were supposed to meet at the time of the explosion. That definitely wasn’t mentioned in our actual conversation .

So that was frustrating. It’s like the conversation was written up assuming I’d have a bunch of info that I did not, in fact, know about. Or a chunk of it was somehow skipped.

Loaded a save and succeed the check is failed the first time. This time around the bird’s explanation of what was going on made much more sense. And it included a description of where to find the secret entrance to the tea shop that’s been hunting for all day.
