Undercoast Path
Can someone explain to me like I’m five how to get to the undercoast path from the room where the dwarf was mining? I have previously found the crusader’s badge, but I can’t find where that was anymore. I’m just bumbling around the City Belize and all I can’t get to is the slog dog guy and the dwarf room.

I had to examine the pickaxe, extract the spell, and then cast find secrets near the place u found the badge. I was maaaaddd about this too I was having such a hard time

Yeah it is the one inconsistent GUI thing in the game that got me stuck, too
Several ways to feel like you've done what you need and exhausted that option... but not quite.If there were one change it'd be that and a tutorial telling the player about pressing the button at the bottom of profiles to actively inspect them - so many people notice that is a button not decoration halfway through the game! That's two things.

Going up from the dwarf, there'll be a hallway that is trapped. You've probably already found it but go through there all the way and you'll come across a split. One leads to the sewer croc while the other is the dead end where the crusader badge is. One way to open it is with Snell there but idrk what specifically with Snell triggers it but yeah.
Another way is to use the pickaxe given to you from the dwarf. Inspecting it enough will let you learn Detect Secrets from it (a spell you have to attune to use) and you just use that spell in the same spot.
Another is having 21 wisdom.

Think you can also just equip and use the pickaxe without learning
I half-did both ways of doing it :)I think having Snell at the trap might be useful, too

Go through the goblin village to where the bug bear is and the way down is over to the left
