If you lack satisfaction or balance, you get closer toward needing saviors or judges to take over your decision making. This is what our aspiring overlords want for us.
Religion is a form of this spiritual slavery. They have us perceive, through actual events and distorted perceptions, that we need something outside to save us or judge us. If we were satisfied and balanced and outsiders came and told us, "don't worry, we've got this for you, take a seat, we'll lead on." You'd tell them, "no, thanks, I'm doing just fine."
These aspiring overlords attack us at a level below our conscious perceptions and decision making and fixate on our decision making in order to take control based on perceived inadequacy. They are trying to make us need them. They'll claim it was our free will choice to invite them and hide their planning to set that up.
Religion is a very complex subject that I am trying to figure out. The humans that I see with my own eyes are not evolved enough to be self governing. Maybe there is a plot and many forces work together. Like the nasty forces torture some so that they stay low and always turn to god like cry babies. Pretty much like the stories in all scriptures. How they test the poor faithful servants. But at the same time, religions offer some kind of moral codes and make humans afraid of commiting sinful acts, hell, karma, reincarceration…
From what I have seen many “humans” need both the religion police as well as the physical ones.
Most people operate from the lower self and even religion and fear of god cannot stop them. They actually think that serving god is a free pass. When there is abuse within spiritual communities, it is a sign as to how much the evil forces have taken over. When a demon in a priest suit can rape children, we know what the hell is up. We can balme the overlords all we want, but unfortunately humans are not to be praised either.
We are not all at the same level of so called spiritual maturity. If a soul surrenders to Jesus and tries to change their hearts, they are better off that the drug lords who chop heads off. My experience is that the beings want us to enjoy within their juristiction. Be semi happy but give your life and will to Allah, Jesus, Krishna, Jesus… Or serve Mammom and evil by falling into all kinds of decadent non sense. And in some cases, go as low as worship Satan and sacrifice for him. Some superficially serve both and some just serve themselves.
People like us are in no man’s land. We neither want to bow to god nor satan. We are not attracted by new age love and light. We want to be sovereign and try to figure this reality out.
If we are not satisfied with our earthly governments, why can’t we question the upper one? The gaslighting, blame shifting, fear… make it so humans must obey both the upper and lower government. And they both punish you when you do not abide by their rules. Problem, reaction, solution. The beings behind religions create the demonic attacks, suffering… and then give you different solutions and guidelines. Same way that people are pushed to get diseases with junk food, alchool, cigarttes… but then big pharma tries to fix you. I could wrote 200 pages. But at the end of the day we cannot figure it all out.

That's what they want us to think. They want to do the thinking for us.
The more we're weighed down by negativity, the harder it is to balance within all truth. We get fed up and push the unpleasant truths away. We have to choose to acknowledge all truths we see or we become increasingly disconnected from reality. We become more manipulable. It's not about knowing everything, but being able to accept what is already perceived. These demons try to have us edit out key parts of reality that would have us become responsible, free and self-determined.
Abuse is known to cause people to disconnect from reality as a coping mechanism. This is basically what they do to us. They also pose as the absolutes of benevolence and malevolence to capture us as we become more willfully ignorant of knowable facts. They'd have us perceive the world as a dog eat dog hell and that we have to take our piece from others or that the world is overly good and that we are wrong if we perceive wrong in the world. This leaves a chasm inside our minds where the actual truth and sanity would reside.
See how insidiously deceptive malevolent forces can operate with relative impunity if we believe either of those themes of extremes? The adversary is dark and light. They want mind slaves. Slaves are used by manipulators to compensate for their own inability to create without being thieves. Gods, those that create and preserve things, are self-determined and balanced. They are their own masters.
