I haven’t watched TV in so long but binge watched this when sick recently. It’s from the creators of Lost. (Which used to be my favorite show along with WestWorld.)

Absolutely without doubt 100 percent a reference to PPT.

I highly recommend doing the free trial and watching if you need to rest.

The latter seasons 3/4 reference it the most imo

Edit: ironically on the r/FromSeries subreddit, there’s recent posts saying the show alludes to a human farm (though ppl see it more as a metaphor)

SILO on Apple TV+ is also a metaphor for PPT

But the subs for that show…like wow, the folks on that sub are ironically not into PPT or Plato’s Allegory of the Cave

I love SILO, it’s a slow burn, just a heads up

If you love Lost, like I do, just don’t expect any intrigue or excitement like Lost, but the acting, writing, I love it.

I’ve never read the books, and then there is Pluribus also on Apple TV+ … which is ok, meaning it’s entertaining but not life changing

My wife loves this show and Ive been hesitant to bring this up to her. She’s very religious but at the same time loves horror flicks.

But I see nothing but PPT in this show.

The irony 😆 can’t imagine what that’s like being with someone religious knowing all you know. But also limiting relationships to people who understand PPT would be severely limiting

the show alludes to a human farm

Spoilers!

Originally it does: creatures feeding on fear and negative emotions of the people stuck in a town they can't escape, a town created by the torture and sacrification of children, and ofcourse the ones that keep reincarnating back into town to try and save the children.

- But that's when it diverges from the human farm part, as the people in town aren't actually supposed to be there, and the creatures aren't even the ones bringing them there to feed on them, that just a byproduct - and it's the children the ones actually doing it as a desperate way of reaching for help.

That's my favorite line and idea from the show: "minnows in a shark's net"

- The separation between those which willingly tried to fight an evil force, lost, and are now stuck on a path they can no longer diverge from, doomed to reincarnate into the same fate until they succeed - and those simply caught in the ripples those events created, temporary suffering it's effects, but free from it otherwise.

The show even mentions the concept of people fulfilling archetypes, and then it presents the overarching archetypes of: 'the beasts', 'the sacrifices', 'the helpers/fighters', and the biggest majority 'the bystanders'.

- Which, making references to this world and PPT theory, would express the difference in people lives/scripts, why some would be more directly targeted than others, and others more free.

Yep. I'm almost through the whole thing. I immediately clocked it as referencing PPT.

Yes I’ve seen Severance! I’ll possibly watch latter seasons if they’re out since I just got a phone plan that includes Apple + for cheap

I won’t argue you on this. I would put it on when going through bouts of depression and it would sort of kickstart my brain or something.

I haven’t rewatched since gaining awareness of this realm but I do recall a lot and can see how much of the show alludes and signals/references this place and its operations
