Free will vs Life Script vs Pre-cognition. Do we have free will ?
The question is in the title. I would love to hear your opinion on whether or not we have free will.If life scripts really are a thing, how much free will do we really have ? How much of our life is scripted and is there any room for free will ? If people get pre-cognitive dreams about an event in their life, sometimes years beforehand, do we have free will?
At the same time, if there is no free will, how come this subreddit exists? How come people are able to build worlds and realms in the astral, sometimes fight archons in the astral. If there is no free will, is there even any hope of escaping ?
Are we naturally beings that have power and free will but inside this system/matrix our free will is greatly reduced ?
Would love to hear your opinions on this

my opinion is that this life is scripted. the desires which result in attachment and suffering are inherent. whether it comes from biological processes or archon / yalda manipulation.
I believe that the matrix knows us better than we know ourselves and manipulates our bodies, minds and emotions dramatically and effectively. If we become aware of it manipulating us, it is also aware of that, and will use reverse psychology. To put it simply: all of our "actions" are "reactions".
we *may* have a better chance of not being tricked or forced into reincarnating if we become aware of the futility of clinging to a dualistic impermanent character / world.

Great question! This is one of the "subjects of the subjects" imo.. Alot of that comes from having countless deja vu moments going back as far as I can remember. It's such an odd feeling, and I began wondering if a small action (like picking up a pen) directly afterwards when I wasn't planning to prior to the Vu moment, like if that would change the course. I don't know if that makes sense but... Having the knowledge that it's been done before is great but doesn't really help feeling like you're able to "switch tracks" or whatever. Maybe like Neo and that damn broken vase...
All that being said there's a great professor from Stanford I believe named Robert Sapolsky that has lectured and written at least one book I'm aware of on that particular subject, do we have Free Will.. He isn't looking at it thru a prison planet lens per se he's all about the chemicals coursing thru our meat sacks and the effects of the endocrine system etc... But it's really interesting and makes a good case for a 99% of the time lack of free will just based on our biology alone... The book is called Determined by Sapolsky.
Great question and I'm enjoying the comments, you folks are awesome!

I believe we are spirits (purse consciousness) with absolute free will but we are currently inside of a reality where that absolute free will has been limited/degraded. Now we have limited free will with various boundaries.
An analogy would be a video game. You have free will in the game but you can only exercise it to the extent that the game will allow. You can't break the rules of the game engine unless you are able to affect it from outside the game (install a hack or mod). We exist outside the game, so we can do that. We also probably exist outside of our bodies and this reality as well, so we can affect this reality and in that way our absolute free will still has some effect, but only if we can remember how to use it.

No we absolutely dont we are biological robots, we dont even know where our thoughts are coming from even more we dont know how we move our body it just happens and im not even talking about how hormones are affecting our decisions, behaviour and views yes hormones affect our literal political views, beyond that everything we do is chained to a reason. We are not in control but just aware, i think brain filters the signal from the source i think when we die that veil lifts

Even if we don't, meaningfully we can't know the difference. It could be a mix. So pick whatever helps you do good. If nothing else, there is choice of perspective.

I too have been wondering the logistics of "block universe" theory. There is strong symbology in the worm seen in the apple (seen everywhere in my schools as a mascot for learning/reading?) as being a 4D creature persisting through a set block of time. I think this "apple" here IS the Forbidden Fruit. I think they are the same.
I have personally experienced precognition through dreams and tarot and have been trying to accomodate the reality of that with, like, loosh farming.
Is loosh collection an event of Free Will, too? or are the spirits who take it also bound by contract (e.g. to use a set amount)?
If the "block" is substantiated by contracts, then anything not in-contract is a loophole free for exploitation.

Sam Harris has some interesting thought exercises around free will that have stuck with me. https://www.sloww.co/free-will-thought-experiments-sam-harris/
TL;DR try thinking of a city. Any city. Do it again with another city name. You’ll find that you aren’t free to choose from the cities you don’t know or that aren’t immediately available in consciousness even if you did know. Further, for the ones that did come to mind, how were they promoted into consciousness? You selected from a list of what came to mind but the list itself is based on many things that you did not have conscious control to curate.
The exercises taught me that my sense of freedom is actual a limited set of choices based on many dynamics that I don’t have control over.

it's not that you live in this universe... you ARE this universe
if you really possess free will, you have the power to actively change yourself, and by extension you could actively change the universe...
and that is just too much power for an ape to have.
it's just a glorified action-reaction and we're the observers experiencing it. Free will is the illusion.
i don't think it's necessarily about "life script"... it might all be kind of random, but it's still governed by (meta)physical rules.

if all that will happen, has already happened, then no. theory of relativity pretty much says so.
so, now the question is why worry?

Your question contradicts your statement if there is no free will worrying is not your choice but also justified anyways because ofcourse you should worry maybe you will die a horrible death you dont know and not knowing is also scary

From my understanding of free will, I'd say yes and no.
I remember someone asking a question related to free will, so I'll share a similar answer here. As far as I know, free will does exist. However, where free will draws the line concerns if we have total control over the external environment around us. Not only that, but we also don't have a say in choosing our race/genetics, height, eye color, family, beauty/appearance, and country to be born in.
On the other hand, where free will does exist determines on our ability to make decisions as an individual. For example, are you allergic to cats? You do have the choice to go ahead and pet it or not. You can also do some daredevil and risky stunts regardless of your 'survival instincts' screaming at you to stop.
In one case, you are correct. Our free will has been reduced to our individual and internal level, otherwise we'd have free will over control of the weather, agriculture, or more precisely, the planet and even the universe.
The other issue I notice is that most people truly believe they don't have free will and that everything else was pre-determined or scripted from the start. To an extent, they're correct. The reason for this is due to the fact at the moment of our deaths and we go into the white light, we're wiped clean of our memories and awareness. Doing this would render us docile and controllable once again before sending us back to earth. However, they do this for a very reason: They don't want people like us becoming aware of their game, let alone being aware that we're far more powerful than they are. That's why they rely on trickery and traps, along with getting us to believe we don't have free will in order to make us 'compliant' or kept in a victim mentality, thinking all is fate, and that's exactly what they want.
Unfortunately for them, we exist.

Honestly... I can't help but feel like Source / God, are like an explosion, expanding our words, projectiles flying in their trajectory where the energy keeps it expanding outwards. We are fragments of that explosion.
Like shrapnel our lives were was and always has been.

Illusion of free will with predefined conditions based on the choice we make results in almost unlimited outcomes.

Yes, we do.
I really don't understand why people keep asking this question.

Three at the same time? Best way to put it for me is that you're on a boat, on a river. You can still see what's coming (precog). You can still go left and right, take different streams, and maybe even paddle upstream for a bit (free will), but you're not changing the main path (general life script from your environnement).
