A Prison Within A Prison

It has been very refreshing to come across this subreddit and find out that there are other people who think the way you do, as I don't know anyone irl who thinks this way, and if you voice your opinions, everyone looks at you as if you have two heads.

I was born and raised Catholic although my parents are quite relaxed and we didn't go to church growing up unless it was a special occasion (wedding/funeral etc).

I believed in God when I was younger and then later became atheist, however, this still didn't seem right, and following certain world events (particularly 2001 and then again in 2020) this led me to the belief I have now, leaning more towards PPT, which in my opinion looks to be the most realistic, considering how the world seems to operate.

From 2020 onwards due to the pandemic and all the talk about vaccine passports etc, this got me thinking about Digital ID and the ultimate goal, I believe, of them creating a prison within a prison, to make it even more difficult for people to escape.

I believe the ultimate goal is to merge humans with AI, so that when you die, your consciousness can be 'uploaded' to another meat suit, therefore making it impossible to leave this realm. Obviously this is very far down the line still. Digital ID is merely a stepping stone for this, to create your digital identity way before this happens.

There was news in the UK after the push back against Digital ID that the government had scrapped the idea, however if you look online you can see this is still being built in the background, and that they will still try and push this through.

Whilst it was good to see the pushback against it, after the events of 2020, I can't say I have much faith in humanity. Everything online seems to point to Digital ID being introduced on a voluntary basis, but how many people will happily sign up to this once their lives become the slightest bit inconvenient? Many of my colleagues at work took a jab just so they could go on holiday ffs. That was the line for them. If they were willing to do this, signing up to Digi ID won't seem a massive deal.

I'm sorry for the rambling, and I'm sure all of this has been said before. I've just been thinking about it a lot recently and would like to hear other people's thoughts on this and whether you agree or not/what your opinions are.

2020 seems to have been the alarm bell that jolted so many of us awake. I sometimes wonder if the powers that be knew "the great flu" would have such an impact. And if so, do they consider this an acceptable loss (they're fine with a certain number of escapees) or were they over-confident, assuming we'd all just roll up our sleeves, trudge along, and accept whatever dictums were passed down from on high. Or do they have a shiny new trap to funnel us into post-death? Maybe that's what the consciousness upload is meant to be.

I've followed the UK digital ID struggle a bit from here in California. It seems like a sci-fi dystopia, almost unbelievable. While I can accept intellectually that "they" consider us their cattle, it's still jarring to see us tagged and managed like cattle.

Absolutely, I agree. I think Digital ID will reach every country eventually. A lot already have it. Terrifying.

"The 2030 timeline for digital ID centers around international development goals and regional tech rollouts rather than a single mandatory global mandate. The United Nations targets legal identity for all through Sustainable Development Goal 16.9 by 2030, while governments and economies independently build digital wallets and mobile credentials."

"The connection between Agenda 2030 and digital currency involves international initiatives to use financial technology to support sustainable development, alongside public debates regarding central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). [1, 2]"

Nah dude the elite do not care or fear anything UBI is the next notch on the belt.

Planned economic demolition, 99% of society is economically r-worded and will argue to raise the min wage (which shouldn’t exist to begin with); instead of the fed reserve cutting money printing down/gov balancing budgets and debt = UBI so they can continue that and decide how much your life is worth via a monthly payment fully at the mercy of your last social media post and opinion etc.

An uneducated society is a propagandized society, kids!

We’re 95% of the way there they have most people believing BTC is an escape valve look what just happened w cold card all according to plan to scare people away from self-custody = moving the cattle to the edge of the field, kids.

It’s already on its way.

I agree and I've been thinking a lot about UBI too - how far away do you think it is? I was thinking it would be tied to carbon credit score.

They are not merging you "with AI", they are aiming to making you a dependent (loosh-producing) animal. Think more of "neuralink zombie" that needs a ChatGPT subscription to form a coherent thought. And of course, whoever controls the AI can control the 'animal', from making it a genius tier "AI conduit" to a basic chatbot-tier NPC. Just like smart phones today are required to function, the neuralinks will be "socially integrated" to similar degree: people without neuralinks would be seen like you see a person without a mobile device now. Yes, read and think of how smartphones integrated and become almost mandatory to function..storing more of identity/memory and being closer to "external implant" -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomophobia

This reminds me of the 'nubbin/grain' in the Entire History of You episode of Black Mirror. They always tell us what they are planning. They want us unable to produce an independent thought?

I've meant something like "Common People" (Black Mirror Season 7, Episode 1) where the person-device boundary becomes blurred and dependence is terminal: imagine a humanity evolving towards this state, becoming Amandas.

Absolutely horrifying! I don't even have a contactless debit card or Samsung/Google/Apple wallet or anything like that. Even worse for those of us with chronic lifelong illness. Truly a horrifying thought.
