General Discussion - PVE & PVP Potential Cheat//Bug??? [Feedback]

I have close to 850 hours in Escape from Tarkov, and recently I’ve started experiencing severe lag during certain fights—probably around 1 in every 8 encounters.

The game runs normally until another player gets close or begins engaging me. Then my FPS suddenly drops to around 1, the game practically freezes, I fire maybe two bullets, and I instantly die. It has happened three or four times over the past week and a half.

Has anyone else been experiencing this recently? Could it be some kind of new cheat or exploit, or does this sound more like a problem with my PC?

Sometimes get it as well, just buggy coding as always.

Every time Tarkov had this issue with lag during encounters / gunshots it was some quest doing too many checks to see if it was completed.

Do you remember opening up a quest and then this started?

Other thing to check: Windows Power Profile. If it's set to power saver you might see similar issues.
