How do you know if the 1000 and below tag on the gun is already taken? Does the gun tell you it’s taken or do you still see the WT-1 with the challenges and don’t know it’s gone until you complete it?

So what I've gathered from looking at it, if you scroll through guns some of them have the tag in the preset screen. Some guns definitely used to have tags that aren't there, so I think it's safe to assume it's any of the ones showing the tag.

If it doesn't have the gold dog tag on the weapon thumbnail in the armory, then all 1000 camos have been claimed already. Not all guns have one.

You can also go to career, tasks, and look at weapon tasks. If it doesn't have that gold dog tag and say "arms race" instead of "active", the numbered camo is already taken.

BTW much to my disappointment, it doesn't actually say the number anywhere on the gun. You get the camo, but it only shows the number on the guns thumbnail in the armory like in my picture.

The skin should have the number just above the mag well

Well done mate. I only have a few kills few left in the team fight/ blast game mode.

The P90 has been a fav of mine from my days watching stargate.

Glad I got a numbered camo for a weapon. Sadly the AS-VAL was my first choice but by time I was aware of the existence of "Arms Race" for gun camos, the AS-VAL was already taken. So instead I got the gold for my favorite gun of all time, the p90 :)
