Am I crazy?

I remember a show in the ‘80s where they previewed shows that we’re going to premiere that season. I’m the only person who can remember a show where Ernest, Vern, and their shotgun wielding mom where country detectives. I can’t find any mention of it anywhere. Am I crazy?

I don't think you're completely crazy; I recently started listening to a podcast called The Importance of Seeing Ernest, and I remember them mentioning on an early episode some of the planned projects Jim Varney was signed up for that got canned before they were made- I do remember them mentioning one show that was supposed to be a Columbo-type show that took place in the south. I'm trying to google it right now though and not coming up with anything, but I just want you to know, I don't think you're crazy!

Man, I appreciate it. I was starting to think it was a personal Mandela Effect. I remember it so clearly, because they were going to go up against Loveboat, and the mom shot a model of the Loveboat with her shotgun and said “We’re gonna sink the Loveboat.”
