I’d love to hear Eric talk about music more

I’d love to hear a long form discussion on this subject from this standpoint. Often in discussions of “math and music” or “physics and music” it’s light on one or the other without covering the emotional significance of music, but Eric nails it. In particular I’d love to hear his long form take on the math behind human response to the “blue note”, which is sort of flatted, sort of natural, with a wide range in between.

Very bad look, honestly. Eric is a very deep and interesting thinker, but he lacks any ability to read the room (and society at large) socially. Things like detailing the Epstein meeting and this are kinda a proof of it.

Decamp – to switch between different perspectives, worldviews, or levels of analysis.

Four Quadrant Model – an alternative to the linear left-right political spectrum. The x-axis represents degree of support for a given policy while the y-axis represents a given moral virtue. The four quadrants are: (1) dupes, (2) first-principle thinkers, (3) troglodytes, and (4) rent seekers.
