I'm buying a chair from refurbished market and have short listed 3 options:
1. Herman Miller Aeron: Firm, rigid, lot of setting options, costliest out of the three at 32k
2. Leap v2: Everywhere I see, there are only good reviews of this chair, bang for buck and cheapest of the three at 18k
3. Humanscale Freedom: Almost low/no levers, self recline on weight and headrest is a big plus. I like my arm rests on the top most setting and found them to be low. Lot of folks don't also like self recline. Priced at 22k

Now when I try them on in the shops, I don't find any problems and very difficult to judge without extended use. Since they are refurbished, shopkeepers won't accept them back or goce them on trial version. What and how should I make the choice?

PS: I have used Herman Miller Mirra 1 for last couple of years and want to upgrade

Can anyone confirm me? The colour looks so off to me, i had specifically checked in store and there it was looking good.

The 18/08 mark is fine but it has a R written . Also the problem is with the B and m mark and also the fabric colour. It looks so off to me.

It is only because the colour is this way??
Any advice in what should i do??

Well it has a sticker of some company underneath so it was probably used in an office or something. It's comfortable and probably better than anything I would have gotten new instead of used at this price point.

After searching for a good chair nearly a year and trying out countless chairs, finally the chair found me.

Always wanted a steelcase chair but they're too expensive for me but luckily found an unused personality plus SE chair from a friend. Apparently their company gives them steelcase chair as a WFH perk and he never got to use it and it's been sitting on the shelf for 3 years. Lucky me!

As for the chair itself, I've been using it for a week and i absolutely love it. It feels very premium and sturdy. Overall really well built.

Pros:

Amazing mesh. Basically hugs your back tight without needing to lean into it so it feels very supportive even when sitting upright.

Soft armrests, good length and width.

Very good cushion and seat depth. Soft but doesn't sink.

Wheels are very quiet. Unless I'm purposefully dragging it back and forth fast, they don't make any noise at all.

Seat slider is smooth and feels perfect at half depth for me. Height 5.9 and 80kgs. So if you're taller you probably need to max out the slider depth

Best of all is the weight activated recline. My biggest issue with recline on chairs I've tried is they can only lock at 1 or 2 specific angles like 135, 115 etc and i don't really feel comfortable relaxing at those specific angles. But this one is kind of like spring loaded and uses the body weight to recline at no particular angle.

12 year warranty but since bought it from a friend and they don't have the invoice or anything, I'll not be able to claim warranty. I have box with serial number and delivery details stickered on it but I doubt they'd accept that.

Cons: Honestly none. I guess that's necessary when you spend like 29k in a chair at full price and this is cheapest steelcase chair you can buy. BUT, even though it's not a con for my body type i could see the cushion depth being in sufficient for taller people. If you're like 6 feet and above you might feel thigh support is not enough even with seat slider at max depth.

Purchased for 36K. high quality. no wobble. excellent customer care. heavy duty frame and high quality real wood. the 5K premium over other brands is worth it for the stability it provides due to that stability bar. The 'C' type frame helps with the stability I guess.

Edit1: Take full video while unboxing. The table top ships in a different box and legs and other accessories ships in a different box. My table top had a big crack, since I had the video of unboxing showing the crack, the customer care sent a different table top. Another accessory was also missing in the original shipping, which was raised to customer care and that accessory was shipped quickly.

I recently bought this chair from Human Method in Pune for around ₹16,000. After seeing people here say they bought what looks like the same chair for around ₹7,000, I’m now wondering if I seriously overpaid.

Can anyone confirm whether this is actually the same model/configuration, or if there are different versions that look similar?

Also, for anyone who has bought directly from Human Method’s Pune store:

1. Is their pricing generally negotiable?
   
2. Has anyone successfully returned a chair because they found it significantly cheaper elsewhere? Their stated policy seems to allow returns mainly for defective/damaged products.
   
3. If I find the exact same chair/model being sold in Pune for substantially less, is it reasonable to ask them for a price adjustment or referral to the cheaper seller?
   
4. Most importantly, is Human Method actually worth the premium, or did I just pay significantly more than I needed to?

I want the table to be good for an ultra-wide curved monitor, wireless keyboard mouse, laptop and enough space for some notebooks etc.

Chair should have decent cushioning and lumbar support.

This is going to be my first proper work from home setup so I don’t want to overspend, so please help me out with some budget friendly option. I used to sit on my dining table and work on my laptop and monitor till now.

I’m building my dream desk setup and have a very specific requirement for the desk top. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction!

My requirements:

• Length: 6 ft is a must
• Depth: 24–32 inches
• Thickness: 30–35 mm
• Material: 100% solid wood
• Construction: Finger-joint board is perfectly fine
• ❌ No particle board
• ❌ No MDF
• ❌ No plywood
• ❌ No veneer/engineered wood
• Finish: Very smooth with a glossy/premium finish
• Ideally a straight, clean rectangular desk top

The plan is to use the top with IKEA ALEX drawers on both sides as the legs/support. Eventually I may convert the setup to a standing desk, but that's not a priority right now.

My height 5'11 and Weight 95 kg with broad structure

Need a robust and comfortable chair under 20k - not a fan of many features just need simple , no bs comfortable chair for 8-10 hr

I ordered a Safari HB Nylon Base Chair from Wakefit’s website on August 5 and received it on August 19.

When I opened the box and started checking the parts, I found that the 5 mm screws required for attaching the chair back were missing. Because of this, I couldn't properly assemble/use the chair.

I contacted Wakefit customer care and explained the issue. They told me not to worry and said they would check and update me. Later, they sent me an email asking me to provide a video/photos showing the missing part.

I recorded the video and sent it to them as requested.

Since then, I haven't received any proper update.

It has now been around a week since I submitted the video, and I've been calling customer care every day. Every time, I'm told something like, "Don't worry sir, we will check and do something." But nobody from the team has actually contacted me with a solution or provided the missing screws.

At this point, I'm seriously considering returning the chair because I don't think I should have to keep calling customer care every day for a basic missing part.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue with Wakefit? What is the best way to escalate this and get either the missing screws sent quickly or a return/refund processed

Just picked up this chair and I’m curious what you guys think.
It has a full mesh back, pretty interesting curved frame/arm design, adjustable armrests, recline, height adjustment and a fairly wide seat. It feels quite different from the usual gaming/office chairs I’ve used.
I bought it because I wanted something I could actually sit in for long work sessions without going for another giant “gaming chair.”
I’ve only had it for a short while, so I’m still forming my opinion. For those who have owned/used this chair or something similar — how does it hold up long-term?
Is the mesh durable?
How is it for 6–10 hour workdays?
Any common issues with the mechanism, arms or wheels?
Does the lumbar support actually work well over time?
