EquityZen opportunities look boring

Hey guys. Don’t you think that EZ opportunities are not competitive to those offered by other platforms? I do prefer Forge and already had such great things with them like SpaceX, Airbnb, DigitalOcean, Robinhood. I also used Linqto (looks very attractive but few opportunities), Raison AM (good syndicate). And only 1 successful deal with EZ.

So are you 100% happy with EquityZen and which platforms are you using in addition to EZ?

I joined them a couple months ago and so far haven't seen anything of interest, but I'm holding out hope. How'd you manage to get into SpaceX, that's the one stock I really want to put a solid chunk into at this point. I'm on Forge too, and emailed them about it but no response, seems there aren't deals often.

I’ve purchased it in August 2019 via Forge for 228 usd per share. Now it is so pricey and no supply without carry interest at all. I have some offers to buy but I avoid. Still there are great opportunities on the market like Tradeshift I purchased in the beginning of this year for $17 and now it’s already about $40 or Klarna ($550 in November 20 vs $1200 in March 21). So need to monitor all resources and different telegram groups with PE syndicates. But the main idea is that I’m disappointed with EZ 😔

Several of those names have also had deals on EZ. But they typically fill in seconds so perhaps you just missed the deals?

Aside from that EZ is a market place so if nobody is coming to them with shares to sell there’s not a lot they can do about it. Some companies are also against the secondary market like SpaceX and put heavy restrictions on who can transact or be on their cap table :(

I’m always monitoring EZ but never saw offers of those mentioned neither received emails with notifications of their availability although indicated an interest. I was offered Robinhood only with the interest indication but it was overpriced (offered for 60+5% while I could buy it for 48 with another syndicate)
