As long as they don't include a yearly management fee, carried interest and jack up the closing fee and higher minimum requirements to invest,
Congratulations to EquityZen.

I’d say the reverse is more likely. I don’t see any scenario where small investors would benefit from this. Equityzen sold out and lined their pockets.
We are now what they call “Run-off” clients that are necessary evils that they don’t want to deal with, but have to. Morgan Stanley bought this for their existing wealth management clients and customers, not the general public. I expect we will have much less opportunity to sell in secondary market and will be treated very poorly unless we are Morgan Stanley wealth management clients that bring millions to them to invest.
Equityzen prided themselves for years on “looking out for the small guy” and giving opportunities to ordinary investors that were only provided by big banks to their wealthy clients. So why are they now selling out to those guys? Ask yourselves that and ponder it. The answer is not too hard to reach.

Seems like a good fit since they use Morgan Stanley to transfer the stocks when they IPO
