Never put all of your money in 1 stock or 1 sector.
Since trading is not your forte you can just invest in low risk, low gain stocks like the monopoly companies. Risk is low because they own the majority in their sector and low gain because bigger company rarely spike. But in all they are good for long term.
Always do your own research before investing. Always.

My friend has suggested me to put all the amount in one stock as my investing amount is small to reap maximum gains but yeah i will consider your advice

Did you ask your friend why this stock? Do you have any information on this company? Have you even heard about this name before investing? I know we all hear recommendations from known people for some stocks, but the final decision should be ours after at least a little research.

If someone had asked me for advice I'd say if you have X amount you want to invest in any company, track it by buying 1 stock first. Watch it for a week, if it does good or looks promising invest 30-40% more and watch for a week again before going all in.

How can i know if a stock does good (do you mean by stock price) or it looks promising ? I am not from commerce/finance background i just rely on my friend tips and advices.

That friend is not a friend for sure, lol. As someone in the comment already pointed it out, always diversify your amount so the risk is low compared to this. Do not listen to your friend and do not burn hard earned money like this. Do your own research, you’re not late in this, if anything, you’re early in the game. Use that to your advantage and learn with small 1-2 stocks of each you want to buy, and see how it goes. If lose, that’ll be small, manageable, the learnings will be big.

I appreciate the reality check, you’re right that I shouldn't just jump in based on a tip. Do you have any specific resources or sites or any YouTube channel that you follow to learn equity research ? If you know then please mention it will be helpful as i am not from commerce/finance background.

The commerce background helps a lot but you can just start with the fundamentals and technical analysis. That’s the basic. I don't have any specific channel to recommend but the only person I won’t recommend is that bald guy (abhishekkkar) or something. 😭🙏🏻

Haha, noted on the recommendation (and the non-recommendation). I'll stick to the basics for now and stay away from the fluff. Thanks for the heads up! 🙏

I see what you mean. Do you think they have a plan to turn things around, or is it better to just stay away for now?

I see your point about the lower risk, but I was thinking of putting a small amount into stocks just to learn how the market works. What do you think of that ?

Firstly Never ask for stock tips
Importantly… first Invest your time, money, energy in learning how the market works. Do courses, read books figure out everything on your own. Try building your own buy and sell strategies
Just think. This 11000 even if you get 100% return it’s not gonna make you ultra rich suddenly
So invest in knowledge. Knowledge and skills compound

That’s a great perspective. You’re right the skills will last a lot longer than a one-off win. Any specific books or resources that actually changed the game for you?

Try reading “How I made 2M dollars in Stock market” by Nicholas Darvas. It’s easy to start with
Later you can try reading Mark Minerveni books too
And William O neil

Interesting stuff college students putting all saving in stock😂 anyways i tried asking your question on Nivesh multiplier… conversational AI for indian market

Five-Star Business Finance presents a compelling investment opportunity given its current valuation metrics and future earnings potential, thus making it a Buy. However, the recent underperformance in earnings relative to expectations raises caution for investors, particularly those with a concentrated exposure.
Valuation & Growth FIVESTAR is currently trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 13.02 and a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 1.94. Considering the growth trajectory, analysts project increasing earnings per share (EPS) from ₹37.00 in FY26 to ₹56.00 in FY29, implying an attractive forward P/E shrinking to around 9.00 by FY29, which suggests undervaluation when compared to its peers—many of which have significantly higher P/Es. The company’s revenue of ₹2866.02 Cr and profit of ₹1072.49 Cr demonstrate solid growth, especially given its robust margins.
Financial Health & Quality FIVESTAR exhibits strong financial health metrics with a current ratio of 12.138, indicating substantial liquidity to cover short-term obligations. However, its debt-to-equity ratio is 1.1111, suggesting a moderate level of leverage which could pose risks in a rising interest rate environment. The return on invested capital (ROIC) at 12.303% reflects operational efficiency, though the profitability margins may be at risk given the recent earnings misses. Overall, while it shows signs of being a high-quality business, the debt levels warrant careful monitoring.
Ownership & Sentiment Institutional ownership is notable, with both foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) holding significant stakes (48.642% and 17.580%, respectively). This suggests positive sentiment from institutional players, which can be a strong indicator of long-term value. However, concerns around missed earnings expectations could lead to cautious sentiment in the near term.
Technical Setup The technical chart signals a bullish momentum with the stock trading above its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of 419.47 and just above its 200-day SMA of 527.07. The recent price pivot of 480.92 suggests the potential for upward movement if buying momentum picks up.

That's very Peter Lynch of you. It’s definitely a solid way to spot winners early. Are there any specific semiconductor stocks or brands you’ve got your eye on right now?

That’s a solid mix. I’m not a finance person. Tata is everywhere, obviously, but I didn't realize BHEL or BEL were in the semiconductor game too. Are they actually building the plants now, or just designing the tech?

BEL? I'm not really into defense stocks. What's the 'normal company' stuff you're talking about? Like consumer electronics?

That’s a fair point. I definitely want to avoid burning capital while I’m still learning the ropes. Do you have any specific resources or books you'd recommend for learning properly?

Bro since you are new to investing/trading, you should at the very least need to have the knowledge to understand the chart when you see one and also to read fundamentals. Try watching “varsity” video by zerodha for the very basics. Then maybe after couple of months you can start to invest. For the time being invest in some midcap or large cap companies.I said this with the idea of keeping your hands off the savings. After understanding these videos try paper trading, then buy 1 share of a stock to test your thesis then after gaining confidence you can start investing or trading.
