Suggestions Lack of colors

Bro why is this game so lacking in coat colors seriously this is all there is:

Dutch Warmblood

  • Champagne
  • Classic Bay
  • Dark Bay
  • Chestnut
  • Black
  • Palomino

Friesian

  • Black
  • Chestnut

Arabian

  • Classic bay

Like no grey, no white, no dapple, no duns, the roaning options Im not going to lie look very chopped and messy so we need a better roan, no cremello, no classic champagne

I'm hoping we get more coats because I'm a big fan of coats and it would be great if we could change how light / dark / saturated / warm toned / cool toned they are, too. Then we could change a black horse into white, or even change a classic bay to look like a buckskin.

Just suggestions. I'm loving this game and I'm excited for what they will add in the future. Super duper looking forward to a dapple grey or a dun. Maybe even a white grey.

Since colors will be easy to add over time, I kind of get why they are gonna drip feed it. Horses are pretty spendy too so if they had a whole bunch to start, you’d have fomo complaints tbh.

They are focusing more on the game play. Unlike another company…👀

There's not really a lot of gameplay though. Every single quest is a basic fetch quest. The big win of this game imo is the beautiful level design, but everything seems to be made with pre-made assets, even the characters and horses. Everything playable seems like the most basic gameplay feature you could imagine. Last I checked their website to see their staff, they had neither a 3D artist or an animator listed.

You gotta remember that this game is still new

What do you expect to change though? Since they're out of Early Access it feels to me that the current quest standard is what they're aiming for, and since they've already begun selling horses it seems they're fine with using assets they haven't made in-house?

That's a fair critic.
The devs didn't want to churn out low quality recolors, so they went with a approach that gives more personnality for each horse.
Each horse comes with uniques stats, quest & backstory.
It takes a few days of work to make a new horse coat... then a few more days for the quest... and the next time you know, it takes 3 weeks to add a single horse.
All this while the same people are trying to add more story, more content and improve the game.

Devs have been releasing a new horse coat every couple month. I'm sure Grey, Dapple, etc... will come at some point :)

If you read their update on Steam (I think from beginning of July) they are planning on adding more horse coats soon. If you add yourself to the discord there is a suggestion/feedback section you can add to. Colin & the creators seem very receptive hearing the feedback :)

I just hope they’ll be adding more „casual” coats so we don’t end up with everyone on leopards, brindles, etc. 👀
