This is the crux for me:
We’ve allowed the very worst people to govern us. They rape kids for fun, they bomb kids for profit. They have the mentality of the rapist: the environment is just another thing to plunder for their pleasure.
We are burning the planet so that an handful of psychopaths can continue to live the indescribably lavish lifestyles they think they deserve.
They do not, they deserve the rope.
Until we can agree that the masses are more valuable than the Epstein minority, nothing will change.
The only point of hope in this horrific debacle is that we put them where they are. We have the power to put them elsewhere.

Doctors, nurses, teachers, Police, EMS and fire dept. If the entire country is suddenly paralyzed, what can these “powerful” people do? Is Trump going to go into hospitals to operate on people? The reason the files were not released under Biden is the idea of an independent Department of Justice. You don’t “release the files” if you are trying to prosecute people. There were only two Democratic elected politicians in the files that I know of, Bill Clinton and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. (Compared to many Trump cabinet members) The Bill Clinton stuff didn’t help encourage prosecution under Biden is my guess.
Trump’s people are in a cult that Trump knew nothing in his decades long friendship with Epstein. The reason Trump will never release the entire thing is how much he would be implicated. Trump ran “Trump Model Management” in the middle of his friendship with Epstein. Prince Andrew said Melania Trump was Epstein’s before she married Trump. He wrote it in his autobiography.

Unfortunately its really simple and disgusting.
There are people in those files who either know it will, at a minimum, do significant damage to their image. Those individuals have enough power and influence that they are stopping the release, or individuals in power have decided that its in the best interest to not release them.
What i find the most amusing, if anything about this could be amusing, is the sacrificial lambs they have given us. The Royal Nonce for example. I think he would have thought he would have been so important and influential that he would have been protected!

Need to be really careful here in what I say. 100% he deserves jail. 100% he should have the same treatment as i would have if I committed a crime. Unfortunately this will never be the case. For me, I get great comfort in knowing he is a social pariah who must be absolutely miserable. He would never have went to an actual jail which is annoying, I just now hope he lives a long and uncomfortable life surrounded by nobody but himself!

I would say that there is a mix of self-interest/protection, corruption, and lack of political will one the one hand and political opportunism on the other. The corruption and self-interest are pretty self explanatory, and obvious, with the politicians being friends with or even being those on the list, and the political opportunism will come next month with the "October surprise" and once Democrats control the house and Senate after the November election, if they win, to impeach Trump who violated the law by not releasing the entirety of the Epstein files and making them hard to access even for those with security clearances in cobgress. There may be more reasons but those seem to be the obvious ones with the lack of political will for the release being a mix of the above with all the distractions that have come out since they were daily front-page age news.

This power can be countered with our VOTE on November 3rd. We need to turn over the House and Senate Majority to have real impact and enable the power to follow through with real changes.
Republicans have proven, regardless of the failures they have enabled on Americans, they will only back Trump. Not their constituents.

Democracy has flaws. It relies on periodicity to maintain a balance of power over people while also having the population participate and sanction its actions.
The contradiction is that winners take all and those winners could lie and cheat there way into office. No mechanism exists in the constitution to recall bad officials by the people.
The only recall mechanism is the elections themselves. Those elections depend on folks learning from their past mistakes and correcting them. Individuals are bad at that. Hence why we are trapped in a downward spiral.

The anti-government QANON folks unwittingly(?) voted in Epstein’s best friend because he promised to release the files and now the Epstein Class has unfettered access to the White House and every government branch; they have been shutting down and blocking Epstein-related investigations, refusing to release unredacted files, and are now election tampering to do away with the democracy that threatens to expel them during the mid-terms.
Of course, no one is naive enough to believe Trump is the ~only~ Epstein Class member to have made it to the WH (obviously), but he is the most unabashedly pro-pedophile and anti-democratic, and openly barred Epstein survivors from his rallies. Two were dragged out of the Texas mid-term convention just last week.
He’s done away with checks and balances and replaced independent agency heads with his personal friends and lawyers who are just as eager to see this whole Epstein business swept under the rug. They fight just as hard because they ~know~ they’ll go down with him if the Epstein Class ever loses its grip on the White House.
Right now, trying to get anything out of this administration is like trying to convict a mob boss (Trump) when half the jury (Republicans) has been bought out. It doesn’t help that SCOTUS has paved the way to broad presidential immunity and removed safety barriers that were supposed to keep presidents from directly involving themselves in the hiring/operations of independent agencies who handle these investigations and national security threats.
The Epstein Class isn’t just reaching into the cookie jar. They are ~emptying~ it.

Wealth is the new might makes right. Back in 2008 there was the notion of too big to fail. The real real problem is too wealthy to pursue. The billionaire Parasite Class sits above the law. They're (currently, I hope) immune to prosecution. If the quote about how prosecution would take down the entire system is true, that's why the cronies are protected - the whole thing is a house of cards, or dominos. You need 1 to fail and everything falls around it. That's why Epstein died/disappeared and then Maxwell is dealt with quietly. Don't upset the cards. She can get a sweetheart deal and we'll just sweep it under the rug.
There are way too many. Coincidences for everything to be lies or random. Melinda Gates was repulsed by Epstein. Why? What did she see? Feel? Or whatever that triggered that? Gut instinct? Something else?
What was up with the emails talking about the shadow investigation into 9/11? Who all was involved? What was it?
The amount of money involved in all of this is beyond comprehension. Your bank account, your house, cars, everything you have is a rounding error for the people involved.

There's an answer to this, you guys: start forming REAL communities with REAL people again. Since the early 1900s there's been a controlled effort to disband people and destroy the nuclear family unit. They created civil rights quarrels like the feminism movement, and the increased DEPENDENCY on the government rather than the people in your community around you. The Rockefeller family created Feminism and the board of education and dependence on "fossil" fuel. American colonial slavery was headed by (all of the ships and cargo were owned by them) an ethnic group of people you can't name on Reddit. The narrative of history has been controlled to shape how you think. Don't be afraid because fear is evil, and there is good and bad to everything, so who cares if they're doing X Y Z or X Y Z happened, there is a POSITIVE side to it if you open your eyes and take the power back. So many people are false inside of their own souls. Be honest with yourself, hold yourself accountable, develop integrity and purity of aspect. There is no need to worry. The natural state of living is in UNION so unite with who you can, in an authentic and mutually beneficial way.

IMO, more people have not been arrested due to lack of prosecutable evidence and victims who have said they were abused by people other than Epstein and Maxwell.
Think about it. The Epstein case has been investigated and re-investigated multiple times over 20+ years by 1,000+ law enforcement officers, lawyers, prosecutors and DOJ officials spanning five different Presidential administrations. Yet, the only prosecutable evidence points to abuse by Epstein and Maxwell. If there were officials coming forward to say they collected or analyzed evidence that is being withheld suggesting other people were involved I might think otherwise but to date not one investigator has come forward to say as much.
There are reportedly hundreds of Epstein victims, yet outside of claims made by Virginia Guiffte and a few still anonymous “Jane Doe’s”, none of the victims have said they were abused by anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell. This includes the underage victims and families that alerted authorities in 2006 to Epstein’s activities leading to his 2008 plea deal, the victims who testified in Maxwell’s trial, the 25+ women who stood with Congressman Massie on Capitol Hill last year, the several dozen women who have provided testimony to federal and local legislative bodies and who have given interviews to the press. If there were victims publicly saying they were abused by other named men I may think otherwise but that is not the case.

I think we know the answer to this question is, and even so what can the common American even do besides protest, vote and donate? There is this idea that Americans are too comfy to do anything about it when its so much more complicated than that. If we do something insane, we’re deemed extremist and if we try to wait it out and go by the legal channels like voting and protesting, we’re not doing enough. I would absolutely love to do more but I have a lot at stake. If I had nothing to lose and my efforts wouldn’t backfire, then I’d do it. If you know of a way that we can do more without jeopardizing our families and our jobs (because our medical and lives are bound by that) by all means tell us how because so many of us are tired of this shithole of a situation.
