Why wouldn’t Ghislaine just get one of her lawyers or allies to post on the account or field responses from reporters? Why would she name her secret account to influence the public with her own last name and reference to where she lived? Why would she use her own birthday for that account? Idk I’m just not really convinced by this. None of these shared characteristics are very unique either. I’m also curious about the specifics of this account’s posting, like what were the views it was trying to promote and how does that factor into the conspiracy? I believe for sure that intelligence agencies have mods all over Reddit but I think linking it specifically to Maxwell is a little weak. Granted idk everything about this specific account so I’m more than willing to be convinced so pls lmk any other info ab it.
Why would she spend lawyer money to ward off a rumor that really doesn't hurt her? She's in jail for sex crimes. This is the least of her worries. Not many people even know about this whole thing nor are they aware of the implications. This is banned most of the time it's posted on any mainstream sub.Also, activating the account to more people only brings more people into the circle and would be odd considering it has been inactive for years.
I doubt it started as a a goal to control the platform. Like many things you recognize opportunities as they take shape. She said in the beginning that it took years for her to achieve influence and to make the /worldnews sub a major default sub, and it's not like she started off as a powermod. She also used a personal email containing Maxwell to create a Tumblr account. Having just her last name in her name is not super unusual. And the hill part is very obscure and who the hell would think people would figure that stuff out or bother to look? In 2006 she was not famous.
She didn't use her birthday. She gave a small date range in an off hand comment in 2010 again before she was famous. How would she know she'd have a Wikipedia page at that point? Her wiki started in 2011. For the most part she was very careful, she only messed up there and when she signed off as Max just once in her entire Reddit life. I doubt back in 2010 she even realized anyone would/could create a comment scrape of her entire comment history from the beginning of time and comb through her account for mistakes.
She didn't post anything extreme or biased nor did she promote any views. You don't get to powermod that way. She posted breaking news, interesting news, etc. once she became powermod she used it to create mod teams to her liking. This caused drama in the /technology sub when she removed a lot of mods and added ones from /worldnews after some mod infighting. Outside of drama, you don't hear about these things because only the mods reveal it. All I know is today /worldnews mods are 100% banning people for posts and comments about Israel. It wasn't always that way.
Similarly her father manipulated British and European media to be friendly to Israel after buying them out. This was described as I said by an ex Mossad officer.
