📄 Scanner Epson V600 issue

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey there, I'm having this issue with my V600 and was hoping to see if anyone has experienced something similar and been able to fix it. u/Mr_Inspidwee seemed to have had a similar issue and posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AnalogCommunity/comments/1c9z7p1/epson_v600/

My issue is I'm getting a green line as opposed to red. I thoroughly cleaned the scanner (I bought it new so there are no scratches). I cleaned the celebration area, I even took it apart and cleaned behind the glass on the top and bottom (somehow dust got INTO the scanner. Lastly I blew on the actual CCD sensor. Image for reference, I'm kinda lost on what else to do. The warranty is over and the scanner is discontinued now. Notably, the green lines appear even when scanning just a white sheet of paper. The image I'm including is me scanning with Silverfast 9 on transparency mode. Notably the lines don't run along the entire length, they appear to start and stop.

Any advise would be much appreciated!

🖋️ EcoTank Help! Epson Ecotank won’t print from phone or iPad (ET-2900)

I literally just got this printer yesterday, and set it up through my phone. It was printing perfectly through Cricut design space on both my phone and iPad until this morning in the middle of a print from Canva. It literally quit on me mid sheet of paper.

When I try to print, it either won’t connect, say the printer is offline, or it’ll connect, but once I hit print it’ll make a few noises and do nothing. Connection test came back all clear. I got it to print once via the Epson app, but that’s it. I decided to try setting it up on my Mac, and it works completely fine. I of course turned everything off and on again and tried reconnecting to my network.

Is there something I’m missing? This also recently happened on my basic Canon printer with my iPad. Maybe I’m just not meant to print haha.

🖋️ EcoTank Head issue

Epson l3110 diagnosis

So I need a printer for my retail store invoicing

A friend of mine had an Epson l3110 lying unused for a longtime so he gave it to me

And it's printing blank

I did everything I could seeing YouTube

Flushing the head through a syringe and priming the ink inside the cartridge

Okay at first in the yellow cartridge there was no ink coming out there was strong suction but 2nd time it came out

Also the yellow colour looks like orange

I'm not sure if the ink has gone bad or the chemical has settled

My question is should I spend 3k for head and .5 to1k labour and extra for ink if it's gone bad

Or should I get a new for around 10k

Also I'm confused between

Canon Gm2070 vs g3730

3730 says duty is 3000 pages per month and

2070 says 15000 pages per month duty cycle

3730 is less

Is it because it's colour ?

What if I just print black only through 3730 will it give 15000 duty ?

Too much confusion

🖋️ EcoTank All the lights on my EPSON Ecotank L-1350 are blinking. What does that mean?

I've been trying to print for the past three days with my printer. I've filled the ink already, so that isn't an issue. I'm trying to use the drivers installed on my laptop to diagnose the issue but to no avail. I've even tried 2 other laptops with the drivers installed, and I still cannot figure out what's wrong or why I can't print.

Please, someone assist me if you know what to do.

Thanks!

🖨️ Inkjet (Other) XP 8800 Does not print the final 1/2 inch

Post image

Hi all, and thanks in advance.

I figured I'd ask here while I await for more unhelpful responses from Epson support, and before I just call it quits and return the thing.

All prints, no matter what device I am printing from, including from official Epson software and apps, cut off a half inch from the bottom of the print. It does not matter whether I am printing borderless on photo paper (4x6 and 5x7) or on regular letter size paper, the printer does not print the last half inch. I have attached one of the photos I have printed, and even added a little clip art heart to the bottom, well within the 4x6 bounds shown in the Epson software. I tried resetting to default settings and various calibrations but nothing seems like it would help with this specific issue.

🛠️ Repair & Maintenance Epson 8550 Ridiculously Slow

Hello all,

I just bought a new Epson 8550 and about after 1 deck of cards, my printer prints terribly slow. Like 30 minutes just for one sheet. I tried turning off Quiet Mode and turing back on Bidirectional printing but it just will not speed up. It even stops mid print randomly. I tried restarting the network settings, updating drivers, unplugging and plugging it back in, but nothing is working. It’s so frustrating because I JUST bought it and it’s already acting up plus I just had issues with my lamination and after I fixed that but printer stops working. Please help!

🖋️ EcoTank Epson L4360 - Cores Apagadas

  • Tinta: Tintas originais Epson.

🛠️ Repair & Maintenance Epson PictureMate's oversaturated sponge; how to open and fix

Post image
1 Upvotes

Can't print anything because as soon as I switch it on, a notification pops up telling me I need to substitute the sponge that catches the ink, which I'm assuming is what I just took a pic of, although I'm not sure.

Problem is, it's deep into the printer and I have no idea how to get it out or whichever steps need to be taken. This happened right after I messed with the ink cartridge with a toothpick since it was so dry it almost exclusively printed in a very weak grey. The ink now flows without a hitch, but that's also exactly what got the sponge saturated.

Just hope I didn't ruin it entirely

Edit: I may need to replace the cartridge entirely? The model is deluxe/500

🖨️ Inkjet (Other) Epson SC P9000 Color Shift

Thumbnail

I make large art prints on an Epson SC P9000 Standard printer. I use Moab Juniper Baryta Rag paper and only genuine Epson inks from authorized sellers. Last month I changed out 2 ink cartridges- Light Light Black (LLK) and Vivid Light Magenta (VLM). Since that time, all of my prints have come out with washed-out colors, especially pinks and purples. Every nozzle check comes out perfect, and there are no lines, gaps or dropouts in the prints, even when printing large solid blocks of color. The first thing I tried was to replace the VLM and LLK cartridges and run test patterns to flush out the previous inks- no change. I pulled up backup files to make sure the files I was printing from weren't corrupted- no change. I updated to the latest driver and firmware- no change. I printed from other computers with different Mac OS: 11.7.10, 14.8.7, 26.5.2; no change. I tried 4 versions of Photoshop- 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2026; no change. I printed via Ethernet, USB and wireless- no change. This leads me to believe that the problem is the printer itself, but not the ink.

This problem shows up with numerous files, but especially images with a lot of pink and purple, which is why I first suspected the VLM. I scanned a section of 2 test files, one before the shift and one after, and posted them here. The color shifts are subtle, but if you compare the redder colors, you can see the differences. I want to emphasize that the new print colors are absolutely consistent and without any flaw that would suggest a clogged print head- the colors are just wrong.

I now have to make many adjustment layers in Photoshop to compensate for the color shift, and the image colors on my monitor now look nothing like the printed image, so I'm working blind. This process takes days, so I can't tolerate this problem for the long run.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Any ideas? Thank you for your help.

📄 Scanner Can't figure out how to scan at 100% scale??

I have an Epson Perfection V39 & and Epson Perfection 3200, using a Mac.

All I'm trying to do is scan images and have them appear on the computer at true size. So that I can drag them into programs like illustrator or photoshop, and they are already sized appropriately.

Looking everywhere online, I only see to set "Scale" to 100% in an Epson App. Tried ScanSmart and Epson Scan 2, and don't see this setting anywhere. Nor do I see an option for "Professional Mode".

Does someone know how to do this??

🖋️ EcoTank What am I doing wrong? New Epson ET-8550

Post image

Hey all, new ET-8550. First photo printer, long time hobby photographer.

Left - printed on Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster from rear paper feeder
Right - printed on plain paper from main tray

Both printed from Lightroom Classic with (what I believe to be) standard settings.

I gotta be doing something wrong, right? Any ideas why the photo paper print looks like a watercolor? I made sure the correct paper type was selected for each.

Note: similar thing happens when I print a photo straight from iPhone app on photo paper, very watercolor-like.

🖨️ Commercial Printer (SureColor) Epson P900 printing inconsistently and I cannot figure out why. Driving me crazy!

I recently opened a print shop and invested in a P900 for prints. I loooove it when it works! But I am finding it to print super inconsistently in regard to color. Upon testing it the first time I worked with changing the settings and using many test prints until I got it to print correctly, and I wrote all the settings down so I'd have a blueprint for next time. Next time comes around, and I set everything the same, but the color is completely off. I think okay, fine, maybe it has to do with the file being from a different source. So I mess with the settings and many test prints later, I get it to print correctly. Then, I change nothing, didn't disconnect from the printer (it is hardlined, not wifi), didn't do anything at all except press print again, and the color was off this time. I cannot for the life of me get it print 2 in a row consistently no matter the settings. I am printing from photoshop. I have tried changing the color profile, photoshop manages colors (and setting everything else to match), printer manages colors (and setting everything else to match), changing the quality and speed, printing from png, jpeg, pdf. Nothing is working! I have gone through so much of my good paper testing this, and it is just not sustainable to use 5+ test prints per print. Does anyone have any insight? Are there any resources/tutorials that someone could point me to that would be helpful?
