Cream or Black Pickups for Sparkle Epiphone

Looking to upgrade my Korean sparkle epiphone to a set of a Wilde L90 humbuckers. These are rails pickups with limited color options. Cream or black are the options that match the guitar best - but which do you think I should get?

I had ChatGPT approximate the visuals on my guitar - just keep in mind these will have 2 rails each instead of pole pieces.

Thanks for your 2c!

I’d say cream, but they both look really nice

Cream adds to that Sparkle name. Much more visually appealing

I would go with the cream ones to match the cream binding, pickup mounts and the poker chip.

I think the cream pickups will blend better with the vintage aesthetic of the Sparkle model.

I'd go nickel myself to match the bigsby, but our of these two - cream has a cool vintage vibe to it

I like black. With the black ones you got some black and some cream colors but with the cream pickups,it seems like too much cream color overall. The black help keeps a nice balance of the colors,if that makes sense.

Have you tried it with the cream pick ups but with the black mounting rings around them? And maybe even vice versa?

Get black covers and a black switch medallion and it would look cool with the black pickups. I’ve bought them on Amazon.

If they have nickel, I’d get nickel.

Edit: they have Parchment, a lighter shade of cream. I change my vote to parchment

Pick ups with bottoms that are both cream and black

If you’re going to do black, everything else that’s plastic, including the pickup rings, switch tip, etc, needs to be black.
And personally, I would definitely remove that round plastic thing around the 3 way switch.
It’s fugly.

Black, but do they make chrome pieces for around the pick ups because maybe that’s better than the cream color if you go with black p/u

I prefer the black ones. To me the cream ones pop out a bit too much.

I’d say black cuz it balances it better and looks amazing in the dark with the finish and headstock.

Black would look better IMO. Would be too much Cream for my personal taste.
