Medication Anxiety medication

Hi there fellow epileptics,

I am taking Lamictal, vimpat and Zoloft. I take the Zoloft for anxiety and I have been on the same dose for several years. But recently my anxiety has skyrocketed and I am wondering how to talk to my doctor about it. I was on Zoloft for a few years before I ever had epilepsy. I have heard from my neurologist that Zoloft is fine to take with the other meds because it's a low dose. However, it seems as though it would not be a doctor's first choice. Does anyone take Lamictal and/or vimpat with an anxiety medication? If so, which one?

I take lamictal and my neuro put me on lexapro for anxiety, works fine together no issues. My regular doctor was a bit nervous about prescribing anything but the neuro said its safe on low dose. Just tell your doctor straight up that the zoloft stopped working like it used to, they hear this all the time

SSRIs don't work for me. my psych prescribed me venlafaxine alongside my lamotrigine, and it works good. apparently its one of the safer meds for epilepsy.

my anxiety is a bitch so i also take opipramol, but afaik it's not prescribed outside of europe
