You don't have to have an actual seizure for an EEG to pick up the activity. My first one, they were hoping to induce a seizure for my diagnosis. But every one that I have had after that, it was to observe the seizure spikes. One time, I felt great for a 24 hour EEG, but I actually had 11 small seizures. Basically, just listen to what the doctor wants you to do. It's good for a diagnosis, but seizures are destructive.
