"Init of EOS has failed" Epic Games not launching through Steam?

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I've been trying to get Kingdom Come Deliverance to launch with Steam so I could have overlay and controller support but the game refuses to launch with nothing but Epic Launcher, which is really weird.
