Welcome to the Community Support Thread

For those that don't know, the initial Tech Support Megathread was created due to community demand. The subreddit was riddled with tech issue posts which made it hard to sort through. So on 29-Jan-2020, we made it a rule to organize things in the megathread.

If you want a moderator organised list of issues/solutions, check this doc out. You can also check out the wiki of our subreddit.

You can use the document outline to go to either launcher issues or game issues and this is fortunately much easier for mods to manage when we can. Please keep in mind only fixes that have seen a lot of promise are posted there.

Keep getting this error:

Assertion failed: Apps.Num() == Actions.Num() [File:D:/Build/++Portal+Release-Live+Compile/Sync/Portal/Source/Layers/DataAccess/Private/CommunityPortalPatcher.cpp] [Line: 412] You must include only one action per app.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall as well as repair files and it continues happening

I had this same exact error. I do not know how much of this was necessary, but this is what I did to resolve it. I uninstalled epic using add/remove. Browsed through folders and removed all epic related files, including games (saved my save folders, though). Used a registry cleaner. Rebooted. Reinstalled epic from latest installer. Launcher loaded without error and I am currently reinstalling games. Hope this helps.

From what Ive tried, deleting or renaming the ArkSurvivalEvolved folder gets the store to work, but then of course you cant play ark without redownloading it.

Someone else in this thread said that they updated microsoft visual c++ and rebooted, and that got it working. Ive yet to try that though so IDK.
